Help with Two Wild Hares Frosting recipe

The higher alcohol % will make it dry/harden quicker, so you will have to move quicker. You can try it, but I can't say for sure how well it would work. Like AliOop said, you can dilute your higher % of RA with distilled water to get 50%. I did a quick alligation to make 100g of 50% RA...

Made a black bath bomb for my first bath bomb, but most stayed on top ?

It's about a month later, not sure if you got the poly 80 in or not to try it out. The poly 80 helps the oils emulsify in the water rather than just float on top. The colorant was floating on the top with the oils, then sticking to the tub afterwards. Poly 80 helps with that too. As far as...

Powdered goat milk vs yogurt in hot process

Yes, I have used the powdered yogurt the same way. I just don't usually have that on hand like the heavy cream :-)

Powdered goat milk vs yogurt in hot process

I have tried heavy cream (made from powdered heavy cream) that I added my sodium lactate to (instead of adding to my lye water at the beginning) at the end of my cook. I warmed it up some so it wasn't cold adding to hot soap. This worked pretty well.

    palm oil and stearic acid

Another good use for your stearic acid would be to use it in a HP shave soap with KOH or a dual lye. I too like to use soy wax and stick to the 415 since it has no other additives.

In a washable oil, does beeswax change which emulsifier is needed?

I personally haven't used beeswax in an oil product I want to emulsify by adding water later. I make a cleansing oil that I use Poly 80 in as well as a small amount of emulsifying wax to thicken it just enough that it doesn't run out of my hands. I also make a cleansing balm that is thick like...

    Nut Milk for Soap?

I make my own almond milk for my honey almond soap. It's actually my favorite soap :-)

What kind of cutter is this?

The Bud cutters on Etsy are also a nice option. I have the VolksRose bamboo soap cutter that I got from Amazon, it's not great but I don't hate it either.

    Soy Wax Users

I use the 100% soy wax in my soaps, both HP and CP. I happen to very much like it! My usual rate is 25%

    Sugar Cookie?

Mrs. Claus Cookies from NG is a dupe for BBW's Vanilla Bean Noel. Smells more like a cozy vanilla than a cookie to me.

    Fix for Shower Steamers

I personally haven't seen using sugar as a substitute for kaolin clay. Kaolin clay is a good hardener, scent anchor, and good for the skin for bath bombs that you soak in, but expensive to go down the drain for a shower steamer. You can try leaving it out all together, or try cornstarch as a...

    Having trouble with bath bombs

If you started out a year ago and they were great then stopped for a while and restarted and now they aren't so great, my guess is the problem is seasonal. Humidity in your area has changed and therefore your recipe might need to be tweaked a little bit. Crumbling can be from not packing and...

Hard Bath Cupcake Frosting Recipe Needed

Debbie May uses palm kernel flakes in her recipe, I assume to harden it a little. Have not tried this, but knew I had seen a cupcake frosting recipe that doesn't have SLSa or sugar in it. http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/handmade101/how-to-make-recipes/debbie-mays-best-soap-frosting.aspx

    Whipped Soap Help

I didn't have any issues with it making my skin feel terrible. My skin is also pretty tolerant to being subjected to different concoctions!

Help with Two Wild Hares Frosting recipe

I think you are talking about the bath bomb frosting? You should be using 40 or 50% rubbing alcohol OR 80 or 100 proof vodka, not 50 proof vodka. I hope that makes sense. I have used 50% rubbing alcohol in mine and it has been successful each time.

    Shea 50 in liquid soap

Right. Basically I saw that it's a new product that can add the benefits of shea to water based products. Could be a nice addition to liquid soaps, especially for those who wash their hands frequently. I ordered a bottle, figured what the heck, it could be great, or it could ruin soap, wont...
