Wind knock right out of me...

You really need to put your recipe so others can have a looksy at it, without that there isn't much input. Is the texture hard or soft crumbling? I looks like it didn't gel and I can see close enough where it looks like spots on some of the cut soap. I closer up picture would be good. Looks like...

    Titanium Dioxide

No I have it premixed in oil, equal parts each 1:1 because if TD is not well incorporated you will get TD dots. I never really measured how much does into the batter because it's in a condiment bottle that I can give a good shake to before putting a little squirt. ETA TD can be water soluble or...

    Titanium Dioxide

I usually just put a bit in until I get the color I want. I start with light oils anyway so doesn't really take much but stick blending a bit helps to disperse TD into the soap batter and bring out the white.

Palm-based soft soap paste wouldn't reach translucent jelly phase!

I think Deeanna answered you already in post 2 "Some paste doesn't get translucent as it saponifies." Maybe use oils known to be clear in LS. I've made a few batches of LS and I've never had it that translucent jelly appearance but it was good soap and clear when diluted.

    Soap seized!

I've used a little bit, maybe a teaspoon, 50% isopropyl alcohol to help firm up layers in my soap a couple months ago. I knew alcohol did that from reading on here and experimented a bit when I used an FO that just wouldn't allow the batter to firm up enough.

Palm Oil vs Red Palm Oil vs PKO

Is the benefit to PKO vs CO that it will create a harder bar that lasts longer than CO? Does it also heat up like CO? Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread.

    100% coconut liquid soap

Salt won't thicken coconut LS. It thickens soap high in oleic acid. You need to use hydroxyethylcellulose .

SMF May 2020 Challenge Signup – Diagonal Slice Stripe with Swirl

For what it's worth my soap gelled 90% through the first time and 100% after I cut it and poured the top. Only thing I noticed was a glycerin river in the bottom red layer.

Why wrap in a towel after pouring?

It's to try to ensure gel, if you don't want gel no need just allow it to sit. I think many people prefer to ensure gel as it helps saponify the soap faster.

Dial *Spring Water* Bar Soap Fragrance

Does anyone know of any FO supplier who carries a similar fragrance? I couldn't tell you what notes I smell, I am not very good at that.

    My first DOS

I had decided not to use any green oils after reading that the chlorophyll reacts to light and causes rancidity. That's why green olive oils are in dark bottles.

    Sticky feeling after washing hands

I made this recipe for my soap color pucks but I used 40% lye concentration and don't get any sticky feel. I did wash my hands with one next day just to see what it was like.

Getting from emulsion to very light trace

Is it not the lye causing the water and oil to be able to emulsify? Water and oil won't emulsify on their own. Emulsion is the beginning. So in essence you could saponification causes emulsification in this instance. I also read on here that once you reach emulsion you can wait out your batter...
