    Little bowls of heaven

Oh jasmine...the scent is heavenly! How about using some infused oil in a lotion instead of soap?

    Grieving pet loss

You gave Winston a lifetime worth of love in the short years that you had him. Some animals never get to know that kind of happiness. Not allowing him to suffer was the last act of love that you could show him. I lost one cat of 12 years last fall, and I had to make that decision too. I now have...

    Browsing soap pics

Oh boy, those peach colored bars are right up my alley. And those by Green Hand...WOW!

    silicone molds from wish?

I've never ordered from wish, but I have ordered from a variety of sellers on Ebay, Etsy and Aliexpress. I have to say that I haven't had a problem with any of them. The quality of the silicone itself seems pretty consistent from one to another, and they all release easily. Considering what I...

    de-funk de pits

Holy cow! I didn't realize that there were so many pages of this thread that I had missed. I've just been catching up, and it's so gratifying to see how this thread has spawned a deodorant recipe that works for so many people. And it doesn't have a bunch of junk in it! :) First time around, I...

    Making molds

Wow! This shows how when you've got some boards, and you want to make soap molds, you just keep on going til the wood runs out. :) And you end up with a collection of shapes and sizes that should keep you soaping for a long time. And great job with those liners, too. So neatly done. Can't wait...

    Poison Ivy

When I was a kid, a friend of mine lived near a field where this particular shrub grew. I don't know the name of it, but I would recognize it if I saw it again. It's not jewelweed, it's an actual shrub, about knee to waist high, and if you collect the leaves and make a tea of it, and drink it...

    CPOP alternative

I like to gel all of my soaps, and I've used many methods to do this. One thing that has a big effect on gelling is the mass of your soap. If it's a fairly large mold, (and loaves work better than slabs, where the batter is spread out ), it's easier to gel, actually it's often difficult to...

    Making Timber Molds

Nice work! I like those counter sunk screws. It really makes buying silicone liners affordable when you can make your own boxes for them.

Finally back (and a few pics)

You've been busy! Really nice soaps, and I like your logo, too. :)

    Basic Fragrance

Fragrance is very subjective, one person's "Wow!" is another person's "Ugh!" That being said, I have never had anyone react negatively to Brambleberry's Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. I use it in CP soap all the time, it discolors to a tan color, no acceleration that I've noted. I don't do HP, so can't...

    Fragrances order!

BB's Cedar and Saffron and OMH are always good sellers for me, and also two of my personal favorites. I have to disagree with George on C&S, I don't think it's necessarily masculine, although men seem to love it. In fact, it's one I steer men towards, when they tell me they don't want anything...

Why did the peacock cross the road?

OMG dibbles! :wtf: Neighbor keep peacocks? Peacock escaped from nearby zoo? WILD peacock???

    I think I'm done

This makes me so sad. Do you think it is the internet, easily providing people with the info to make anything they want? Craftspeople don't learn from other craftspeople any more...the info they get on the internet, (and we know this, from posts on this forum), may or may not be correct. And...

    Name this batch of soap!

You're always better off buying soaping supplies from someone who sells just that. And even then, some are better than others. Some really good ones will have pics of the color used in finished soap, like Nurture Soaps. What you see isn't always what you get!

    Issues with Silicone Molds

I gel almost all of my soaps. I'm able to unmold the following morning. Soaps that don't gel, take longer to saponify. It can take several days before they can be safely unmolded, because they continue to be soft until then.

    Sourdough

Mine doesn't separate until I "break" it. Once I scoop into it with a spoon, the next time I go to get some, there will be little pools of whey on top. Commercial yogurt does the same for me too. Sometimes I stir it back in, and now I know some new uses for it. :)

    Sourdough

Gee, I never thought of that! When I make yogurt, I usually pour off the whey into smoothies, but bread sounds like a much tastier option. Thanks.:)

    Over-gelled soap

Every time I try something like that, it ends in disaster. Once, I put my oils on the stove to melt, and thought I'd just put them on high first for a minute to get them started. Well of course, you know what happened...the next thing I knew, my house was filled with smoke. It was very scary and...
