    Your thoughts on Tussah Silk?

I've seen bamboo silk too, curious to see if it makes a noticeable difference to the feel of the soap.

What am I gonna do with all this jojoba?

I would HIGHLY reccomend it for acne, that or rosehip oil. They both calm the skin and replace the good oil you wash off your skin when you wash your face preventing your body from going into overdirve to replace it. I have combination skin and my face always use to feel like I had really dry...

What am I gonna do with all this jojoba?

Definitly as a face oil or serum, you probably already know the wax esters found in Jojoba are identical to the natural sebum produced by our skin so if you wash your face then use it afterwards you skin doesn't have to go crazy producing it again. For people like me with usually oily skin it...

Zum Lavender and Oatmeal Goats Milk Soap question??

Unfortunatley I've never used Zum's lavender bar.... There are approx 39 species, numerous hybrids and almost 500 cultivars, so probably too many to try in soap in a lifetime sadly :( haha The most common ones though would be Lavandin oil which is from the Lavandula x Intermedia hybrids. The...

@artemis yeah I started searching last night through google and it works so much better then the normal search function found alot of facial soap recipies! I found a cute little mould that makes 1.5" cubes I'm going to try some really small batches in so I don't waste too much oils formulating...

Cut the HP soap I made last night!

Ahh cool, I've read that sodium lactate keeps HP soap more fluid for longer and yoghurt too apparently. Been wanting to try it out. Sounds like your method is good too!

    Facial Soap for Combination Skin

Yes I guess that’s true, soap is going to cleanse not moisturise so much. But definitely my aim would be to have a soap that doesn’t strip my skin. Yes sunflower oil is pretty easy get our hands on in Australia so I’ll give that a try In place of the coconut oil. Thanks for your advice :)

    Facial Soap for Combination Skin

Yeah I had wondered that too, initially I just had 30% Hemp and 30% Avocado Oil but was worried it was too much. I will try that, I might do a small batch with just 10% coconut oil and another with none at all and see if it makes my skin feel tight. I had wanted to use jojoba or rosehip oil as I...

    Facial Soap for Combination Skin

I'm wanting to formulate a facial bar for my skin, I have combination skin so areas which can be quite dry but by the end of the day my skin is quite oily, I can usually keep the oil at bay if I moisturise well with rosehip or jojoba oil after I wash my face so was hoping to include it in my...
