    Aloe, aloe!

Aloe Vera gel is the fleshy part from inside the leave that's used topically, Aloe Vera Juice is the same thing but it's filtered, watered down and processed to make it safe to consume. The skin of the Aloe Vera plant has a yellow goo that is a digestive irritant and has a laxative effect. So it...

    Soap Is Not Moisturizing?

Yeah I think it all has to do with a persons definition of moisturising, or moisturising in relation to soap anyway. I would agree that it, to me would mean a soap that is less harsh and strips less oil from my skin. Like a 100% coconut oil soap will leave your skin tight and dry but an Castille...

Difference in scent between Clary Sages

I have not tried Clary sage essential oil from those areas but as long as they say it is made from the plant Salvia Sclarea then it should be the same as the one from france (not noticeably different anyway, all essential oils are ever so slightly different, being from a plant that grows and...

    Lotion bar too soft

If your coconut oil is soft at room temperature you are probably using extra virgin coconut oil which melts at 76deg F you might want to look for the 92deg F type which is hydrogenated to make it harder at room temp and melt at a higher temperature.

    Aloe, aloe!

This is because of the density of liquids vs ice, liquids are denser than ice and the space it occupies is less as compared to that occupied by ice. Its to do with the spacing between the molecules and the molecules expanding or something like that.

    Aloe, aloe!

I freeze mine becuase I had so much I'd never use it up in time and it would have gone bad since it's fresh and unprocessed and has no preservatives in it. Now I have it on hand when I need it and I won't need to make any more for a long time. I weighed them before I froze them.

    Aloe, aloe!

I just harvested a huge bag of Aloe from our plants on our farm just the other day and once I seperated the gel from the plant I had a whopping 1.5kg of gel so I froze it all :D can't wait to soap with it! I use it in addition to water, and discount the water equal to how much aloe I put in...

    So call vanilla EO

I own a vanilla orchard plant and it lives on my window sill, sadly it hasn't given me a vanilla bean yet (only had it for a year). I tore one of it's leaves and it smells nothing like vanilla, just green like a plant. There are no flowers on it though so I don't know what the flowers smell like.

I'm looking for a set of new scales too, I really want ones that measure down to 1/10th of a gram too. I looked on the website of the company that make those KD8000 scales but it made my brain hurt with how many choices there were!!! I've been looking at the iBalance ones...

    So call vanilla EO

I would call that an extract not an essential oil! I'd definitely send it back and send that information from the Soap Queen website, sounds like the person selling them doesn't understand themselves what they are selling.
