    Mineral Oil Facial Cleansing

Try moisturising with rosehip oil or jojoba oil, I know it might sound oily but they are what people refer to as dry oils because after you put them on your skin feels dry again and not like an oil slick. I use a 50/50 blend of rosehip oil and jojoba and love it! I use to get red ichy skin but...

Any benefits left after EO evaporation?

Could give nature identical EO a try, they are 'apparently' almost identical to real EO's but much cheaper quick google and found these: https://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/products/nature-identical-essential-oils/ https://www.sunrisebotanics.com/collections/nature-identical-oils

    Preservatives

Ergh that's horrid! Hmmm this is why I think I'm going to stick to things that don't need water like solid and dry things like shampoo bars, bath bombs or bath salts etc. so I can avoid this but also avoid having to use preservatives.

Any benefits left after EO evaporation?

I still think EO have a place though in soaps, especially for people (like myself) who are sensitive to certain fragrances not knowing what fragrances might set my headaches off. For some reason I get headaches from certain fragrances so I stick to EO and don't buy anything with fragrances. So...

Any benefits left after EO evaporation?

This is a copy and paste from another thread I posted in So yes essentially oils can dissipate when exposed to air and the saponification process can damage the essential oil as well through heat. But I think it’s something that has to be assessed on the case to case basis like the benefits of...

    remove glycerine from soap bar

Ahhh I think this person in that article might be refering to manufactured or synthetic Glycerine which is usually produced by various routes from propylene or methyl ethylene which is a petrochemical, is this what your refering to? Sound like this person in the artivle has just twisted science...

    use bar soap in dishwasher

Yeah never do this, a friend of mine tried this out and flooded her kitchen with bubbles. Great fun for the kids but a mess to clean up! Dish washers and washing machines from what I understand need low foaming/bubbly ingredients becuase of all the surging, swishing and spraying water...

What fragrance makes you think of the ‘90’s?

Here in Aus, the 90's remind me of strawberry 'impulse' purfume spray, every girl in highschool wore it that and the spice girls 'impulse' range

    Preservatives

I also agree with that too, which is why I'm having such a hard time deciding whether to incorporate preservatives in some of my products of not! :hairpulling: It's easy to tailor something to my family (not putting preservatives in my liquid soap since we use it so fast) but hard with other...

    Preservatives

To be honest I would prefer to buy a soap that has a risk of growing mould over a preservative, liquid soap gets used so fast in my house with so many dirty boys in the house that it doesn't last long enough to get mouldy. I'm more concerned about the effects of preservatives on my body over...

    Aroma mist

This is true you never know what a customer is going to do with a product, haven't heard any bad experience yet though in Australia about someone getting an infection or something from a hydrosol, but yes I agree it's something to think about. Not looking forward to having to cross this hurdle...

    Aroma mist

Not in Australia, I recently talked to the our representative within our Lavender growers association about this as I have been doing some product planning for our farm and she was telling me there is no requirement to have preservatives in hydrosols in Australia, big companies do batch testing...

    Aroma mist

If you looking for something more 'crunchy' another thing you could use is a hydrosol instead, when they distill the lavender and chamomile when the water sepeartes from the oil after the steam has condensed the water is infused with the smell and some of the properties of the oil through the...

    Major seizing/acceleration

Could be a double whammy of both the pomace and soy, maybe leave one out and try a really small batch of each seperately

    Major seizing/acceleration

Pomace Olive oil, that would be the one causeing the problems I would guess, Never soaped with it myself though, but I watched a vid on youtube the other day by "soy and shae" and she was talking about olive pomace and how it accelerats trace severely and she wouldn't be buying it anymore. Also...

    Help on understanding mixing EO

Thats ok, it works the same as a soap formula. So the 100% has to equal the total Blend of EO you are using for example, 100% lavender oil to = 100% of the EO's OR 50% lavender oil, 25% Rosemary Oil and 25% Geranium Oil to = 100% of the EO's if that makes sense. Then you would use that blend...
