Interested to hear what you think of the soap. I LOVE my rice milk soaps. It is becoming my standard liquid additive at this point. So easy to make, so inexpensive, and I love the feel of it in the soap. By the way - when I use rice milk the lye mixture gets very thick just like you described...

I used BB Oatmeal Stout and Almond Biscotti blended at 2:1 respectively. It smells really good even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet scents. There was a BB project that used this blend and that’s where I got the idea. I did another one where I scented the bottom layer with Oatmeal Stout...

I input my recipes into Soapmaking Friend. I have four basic recipes (one is still a work in progress), and one shaving soap (also a work in progress). At least I did *something* soapy.

I had nanny duty for my grandson all weekend so I wasn't even home. No soapy stuff for me till next weekend. On the plus side - most of my soaps are ready to come off the drying rack so I lots of room to make more. I'll worry about what to do with it all some other time. :D

Don’t consider it a failure. It’s a learning experience. Everyone forgets to add FO at some point or other. The decision will be whether to have a beautiful unscented soap - or a muddied color and a lovely scent. No biggie. The important thing on the first batch is whether or not the soap came...

Well it's said that it does not need to cure. However, I do plan to cure it for a few weeks.
