Facial Cleanser for mature sensitive skin?

Have you found that licorice extract helps with the rosacea? I tried castor oil but it's drying for my ultra sensitive skin.

Water Amount in 100% Coconut Oil Laundry Soap

That's a good idea, thanks. I'm a hobby soaper and don't use a lot of coconut oil in my body soap so this is a good way to keep it fresh.

Water Amount in 100% Coconut Oil Laundry Soap

Thanks for your reply. I'm using a couple of log molds - one 3"x3"x13" and the other 3"x3"x7" - using up my coconut oil before it goes bad. I knew someone would ask about the kaolin clay. 😆 I don't really have a reason for adding it, other than a couple of professional soapers I follow on...

Water Amount in 100% Coconut Oil Laundry Soap

Hi everyone, I'm going to make 100% coconut oil laundry soap with 3% kaolin clay added and -0.5% SF. What would be a good water amount to use for this recipe? I'll also be adding 3% citric acid and adjusting the lye amount accordingly. Thanks. (Last time I made it with 70% coconut, 25% olive...

    Making Aloe Vera Gel

So, I'm looking on Amazon for liquid Germall Plus and it looks like it comes as water soluble or oil soluble. Probably a dumb question, but I'd need the water soluble one for this purpose, right? Thanks

    Making Aloe Vera Gel

Yeah, for the amount used in the recipe it'll take a while to get through a bag for sure. Glad to know that I can use the regular xanthan gum - thanks very much!

    Making Aloe Vera Gel

Yes, the recipe calls for liquid Germall Plus as well. Thanks I use a purchased one as a facial moisturizer now and want to make my own, but I don't want to have to make it daily. Thanks

    Making Aloe Vera Gel

Hi everyone, I have aloe vera plants and want to make my own gel. I found a recipe that calls for xanthan gum clear but it's hard to source where I live. I'm wondering if I can use regular xanthan gum instead. Anyone know? Thanks

Laundry soap and hard water questions

Hi all, I'm a new member and this is my first post. (I hope it's ok to post this here and on this old thread.) I'm wondering about the Molly Suds type recipes that don't include soap at all. Molly Suds ingredients: Proprietary Blend of Sodium carbonate sourced from the Green River Basin in...
