Perfect color choice, and the tiger swirl is very evident.

So, here’s the one I’m NOT entering... The idea was “White Tiger” in the colors of the Auburn University Tigers. It just turned out a little too minimal.

Was supposed to tidy up and master batch oils, so of course I made soap!:rolleyes: I’m “over” tiger stripes until the judging is over. Made this beauty this afternoon. I don’t like using a gear tie if the batter gets thick. Too flexible.

It’s very nice. I love that sort of Wedgewood blue color.

I haven’t used sea water for soap, but I have thoughts and questions. 1) Why not just make your own salt water with clean, fresh water and salt? Is there some unique quality to sea water? 2) If using sea water, why not process it in a pressure cooker to sterilize it and kill any...

It’s cut! Came out very nice It’s cut! I’m very pleased. Yes, the colors are a bit lighter than I originally wanted, but they are true to what I poured—no morph, unless it happens during cure. (And man, oh man, does it smell good!). It’s a 3 color swirl, and I split the colors at 1/3 each...

I plan to spend today photographing soap and working on my blog and e-commerce website. I purchased one of those miniature photo studios. I have no idea how well it works, but the online reviews were solid. Time permitting, I also need to tidy up my soap supplies and master-batch some oils...

I understand your point, but as I stated there are many alternatives for use as colorants.

What's the difference in the two from a soaping perspective? They seem to identical in values.

My 2nd batch is a crap shoot at this point. I believe the colors are going to end up much more muted than I had imagined, but it should still be very nice. I was going for big, bold color striations, and it's just hard to do that in 2/3 of a batch without wasting a ton of colorant and/or...

I shave in the shower, so I flip the scupper upside down on the shower rack.

It’s in the mold! In fact, I have two variations on a theme: one full-blown color and other more minimalist. I’ll decide which one to enter after I cut #2 tomorrow.
