Bummer... Thanks. Did you personally try it? For how long does it keep the soap from turning brown? Thanks in advance.

Wanted to buy vanilla stabiliser but...

Since BCN hasn’t answered my email, I tried to call them this morning but it was an answering machine. I left a message but they didn’t call me back yet. I understand BCN’s VS is the best, but I really can pay this much for shipping... Which would you say is second and third best, so I can...

Yes, “a bit”. 😅 I wrote an email to them. I hope they can you a cheaper USPS option. I really hate UPS shipping to Canada, Not only am I SURE to be charged customs on top of these ridiculous fares (UPS makes sure they get their brokerage fees), if I happen not to be home at the moment of...

After reading suggestions here I went on RE’s website and found this FO that’s would be a great success here in this house: https://rusticescentuals.com/Lemon-Pound-Cake.html The problem is I see that the FO is compatible with melt and pour soap, but I don’t see information about CP/HP soap...

Latest soaps and HP fluidity lessons

Well, my first batch is done! Can’t wait to see how it’ll be compared to my CP soaps but it’s definitely soap! I was never this happy to see soap suds while doing dishes! It’s a breeze to clean up afterwards, compared to CP.

I’m not usually this impatient, but I was hoping for a reply/replies this morning because I was planning to cook today... If someone other than Dawni knows the answer to even just some of these questions, I would really appreciate it. 🙏

Latest soaps and HP fluidity lessons

Questions: 1) if I’m adding my preheated superfatting oil at the end of the cook, do I add it first (before yogurt and/or water)? 2) when you add yogurt, is Greek yogurt OK? How much do you add? I found 1 TBSP ppo in some posts here. 3) do you warm the yogurt before you add it (and if so...

Oh... 😕 Thank you for letting me know. After reading a few pages on her website I felt she seemed to know what she was talking about. Darn, I regret buying the book then. Is it any good?

    « Light » olive oil???

Hi! I’m reading “Pure soapmaking” by Anne-Marie Faiola. I wondering what she means by “light” olive oil in the following sentence? Caution: the exception is “light” [italic in original text] olive oil, which often doesn’t work in soap at all. On her Soap Queen website, she wrote an article...

    Saffron infused oil?

My dad is Iranian so I have lots is high quality saffron at home. I’ll make a powder from the pistils using the back of a spoon to crush the pistils into a powder. You could use a pestle and mortar but unless you wash up the mortar you might lose more saffron powder this way. Not sure if...

    Post your Gripe

I’m in Canada and wanted to order from Brambleberry ... until I got to checkout. They use UPS (I HATE them, with them 1. you can be SURE you’ll get charged taxes and 2. they charge ridiculous brokerage fees on top of that) and it’s pretty expensive. If you want to use USPS, they have ONE...
