I have some powdered pigments that I always disperse first in water or glycerin before adding to the soap mixture. Instead of mixing a small amount every time I want to color a soap, is it okay to mix up the whole jar of pigment into a big bottle and use only what I need? Will anything happen to...

Just wondering what everyone's process is for developing a new soap. Do you start with a specific fragrance and work from there, or do you have a certain color/texture you want to reproduce, or do you start with the soap qualities (hardness, lather, etc)?

I just got into CP soapmaking and loooove it! I've been designing and selling jewelry for the past 7 years and that was starting to get blah, so I decided to try soaps. I've made a few batches and will post photos in the gallery. Looking forward to talking with everyone, you all seem so helpful.
