    Tobacco and Bay Leaf discoloration

I think it looks very nice. I love the rim effect. I have this fragrance and haven't used it yet since I saw that it will discolour. But if it discolours to that, I would be pleased.

Clove equals Soap on a Stick

Does the saponification process make is smell less "clove-like" ?

What soapy thing have you done today?

This is beautiful. I would love to know what colour mica you used for the pink. I am having a very hard time finding a beautiful pink like this.

    On the drawing board

I was rewatching a Royalty Soap video last night and she was using a blueberry FO (sorry don't remember which one) and she said it discolours to a very dark brown. Might have been a blueberry pie scent I don't really remember. Check that FO's write up perhaps before you use it.

This is excellent info and exactly what I was trying to figure out. Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to explain this.

    Colouring with Micas

Oh yes I meant per pound of oils - I need more caffeine I think. So is it the whole batch or the sections that I pour out for designs?

    Colouring with Micas

I have been trying to figure out mica dosages. Labels usually say 1-2 tsp of mica per pound of soap; my question is, do they count that as the full batch or just when you split the batch for the colours. Like if I have a 3 pound batch of soap and measure it off into 2 sub-colours, is it the...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I packaged up some of my soap sprinkles. I hope to make enough that I never have to do this again LOL. The little balls I mixed in are the most tedious, but it is a mindless activity while watching TV.

Yes it truly is. Especially binge watching Netflix.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I have been working on this project for far too many days. Although it is mindless and can be done while sitting watching television. I decided to make soap dough and put it through an extruder to make my own soap sprinkles. What a tedious process. I thought I could cut them as they came out of...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Oh that is an excellent idea for the containers. Mine is 95% CO and 5% castor. I actually use it at 5% SF (which was an accidental overlook on my part) and I love them. I pour it into a big PVC pipe, pop them in the fridge and then cut the next day although they are super hard at that...

My first two 'tragedies' both in the same batch!

This soap looks fantastic. I didn't know you could add soy wax to soap. Looks like I need to google some things.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Last night I mixed up my lye solution and prepared everything for tonight's solid dish soap bars. Seems to be the only thing I am able to sell.
