What soapy thing have you done today?

It has made a huge difference. I made a quick batch last night and they weren't warty. Whoohoo. It has been very humid here in Southern Ontario with tonnes of rain. I think you will notice a difference.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I have been following along on this as well and is good to know. Although I have yet to replace any of my wires but hopefully my wee little mental note will stick in my brain about this. I have made some more soap dough with different colours to try another garden topped soap. This time I...

    I made a mistake (again)

I had been planning a garden-type soap and so I made some soap dough flowers and roses To place on top. The flowers have cured HARD. Mindlessly I made my loaf and then started placing the flowers Willy Nilly on top without looking at my notes. (Pics attached). I set the batch aside and went to...

Wow thanks for the information. I have been looking at getting a used one since my humidity is way too high to make bath bombs.

    Swirling

Those are beautiful designs. I wish I could keep my recipe that fluid for so long. I may need to try that recipe out. I will let you know how it goes. It would be perfect for my pop bottle pours I do.

What soapy thing have you done today?

That’s a beautiful story That is a ridiculous price. Even the $30 seems a bit steep. Good luck finding something.

How do we feel about canola (rapeseed) oil?

I actually have no idea LOL. I get the cheapest one at the grocery store. I will have to look into it when I get home from work.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I have used mine for years....I found them on Marketplace on Facebook. I am also going to unload them because I have since remodeled my space to allow for more drying spaces.

How do we feel about canola (rapeseed) oil?

My main swirly recipe is canola. I have tried other recipes and nothing makes a nicer batch to do my designs. I use it at 35.77 % I have never had an issue with DOS. I am able to unmold and cut the next morning without a problem.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I made soap dough on Sunday and last night made some roses. I will be making more but I had enough and went to bed instead lol. I’m hoping to design a soap that these can sit on top as embeds. Just have to decide the rest of it.

    How to fill in holes

I think the spackling is the way to go. I have use slivers of soaps from the ends to shove into the holes (each hole with the coordinating colour), then spackle. It was actually quite fun, but I agree time consuming. Now if I do any fancy stuff I make sure to knock the crap out of it on the...

    Removing cylindrical soap!

I only use my dish soap recipe in my cylinder. Next morning I just push it out. It is rock hard though so I would say totally recipe dependent like @AliOop also mentioned.

    Ladder

@Vicki C that is so scary. I have had a backwards fall down a small set of stairs and that brief moment of falling I thought omg I can’t believe this is happening and this is going to hurt. It did hurt a bunch. I’m glad you were able to get everything checked out and you’re ok.
