    If you don't want your goats milk soap to gel, put it in the fridge or freezer. That is all I got. There are threads and posts about this, but you need to do the research. What works for me may not work for you.

    I can't remember what video I watched. But they cleaned their silicone molds with vodka.

    I'm out of olive oil ( have been for quite a while). Trying to figure out if I am going to try a different oil ( make a new recipe) or just buy more OO. I used to buy two jugs of it every week without thinking about the cost. Now I tell myself no! So other than organizing my soaping supplies...

    Powder Goat Milk

    Just stick blend the powdered milk into your oils before adding your lye water solution. You can add the amount if powdered milk to achieve whatever saturation you need.

    I didn't notice much of a difference but I only use about 4 percent of it.

    @CLMP I use a wire whisk. I hold it on it's side and twist it thru the soap batter from one end of the loaf mold to the other. Then I start from the opposite end and do it it the opposite direction.

    Is Lye supposed to have a static cling to it?

    This thread was just what I was looking for. Lately when I pour my lye pellets they seem to fly everywhere. Well I used a dryer sheet on my measuring cup and wiped the lye bottle as well. Then I shook the crap out of the bottle before I poured the lye. No jumping lye pellets. It was awesome...

    Pros and cons with using different types of milk

    I've used it. I stick blended it into my oils before adding the lye solution. I used about 5 ozs in a 70 oz oil batch. I had subtracted the 5 ozs from the liquid requirement for my lye solution.
