Please help me!! My Soap is not the same what i saw in youtube!

If you can find either palm or tallow at a cost you can afford, then I would try as a starting point: 20% Coconut 10% Castor 35% Soybean or Vegetable oil or Shortening (which usually has soybean and palm) 35% Palm or Tallow Because the recipe you posted last, still has a cleansing...

Ahhh, that's papaya PUREE, not extract. :) Extract is like the flavorings extracted with alcohol for cooking and baking, for most people. When you blend a fresh fruit up, that's a puree. :) Yes, that will be fine! Make sure it's super well blended and strained, as any lumps can turn brown and...

    ISO inexpensive soap boxes

Brambleberry averages .50 to .36 per box depending on quantity, but I like their boxes a LOT. Similar looking to those, but with an oval window, crisp edges, thin cardboard, nice and neat looking. AND, rather than being a single box, they're a tray and sleeve design, which I just love, because...

I have been guilty of this, not with soap, but when I do computer repair. For me it's often, "Here, let me just.... click, click, DONE!" and the poor user is sitting there going "huh?".

    Prices

For those little decorative looking soaps, I would do a gift box type thing, with three or four to a box, for about the same price as one large bar. That's just me. :)

From what I have been able to research, Palm oil should be easy to find there, yahoo says there's 34 brands of palm oil in the philippines that are cheaper than coconut oil... IMI Saji brand is one... Also, Corn and sunflower seem to be available? Do you have lard available? Or tallow? Those...

    Womens Soap

I can't get past the idea of using soap on MY parts that was made in a mold that was created directly against someone else's parts.

I had a nice long reply here but this app ate it. Sigh. Had figured out that the posted recipe has a -247 SF.

Ok, so. When you are creating a soap recipe, the OILS, and ONLY THE OILS (and fats) must add up to 100%. If you are only using one type of oil, the amount you use is already 100% for your recipe. If you are using two, as in your case, coconut and castor, then the percentage of each in your...

    Insurance who do you use?

Ok, with RLI, what category do you select? Or do you have to get a custom quote? I didn't see a specific category for bath or body stuff. I saw candle making and crafting and for selling cosmetics or products made by OTHER people...

    Thinking about joining the HSCG...

Well, I currently only give them away to family, friends, co-workers. A couple seem insistent on trying to donate to the cause of more soapmaking though lol! But I do sell some of my other bath and body stuff, also mainly to people I know, and am planning on adding the soaps to the lineup by...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I got both pine tar and birch tar in the mail today. Yay! Hubby unpacked them, since I was at work, and he called to let me know that the birch tar had been improperly packaged and leaked all over. And that it was on his hands now. And smelled like a fire. And that while he was bagging it up so...

    Thinking about joining the HSCG...

Well, I got started as an associate member today. And will continue saving towards the professional membership so that maybe before the end of the year I can upgrade. :-)

A rose by any other name...

Rose geranium is wonderful and quite strong also. Any true rose absolute will either be crazy expensive, or moderately expensive if it's diluted in a carrier oil. Like the 5% ones you see. And 'therapeutic grade' really doesn't mean a better product, or even that it's a true EO. That link you...

Liquid Soap, hows this look for a plan?

With some soaps the lather improves a bit by the end of that 2wks also. :-) Yay! Glad your soap went so smoothly! :-)

    Yumm!

Hehe. I didn't get any either. Sigh.
