    Glycerin Allergy

I think that is going to be tough. I bet most M&P has added glycerin as a humectant. You might actually have to look at getting your on syndets and making your own.

    Glycerin Allergy

Glycerin is the natural product of making soap. It sounds like she is going to have to use syndets. Salting out can remove glycerin but I would not trust that it would all be removed especially where an allergy is concerned. Store bought soap usually has the glycerin removed - and then a...

    Conditioner recipe

the BTMS is an emulsifying wax. You would need to melt it and the coconut oil together, and then when you add it to the water it will create what is in essence a very light lotion.

    Water marks

Looks like partial gel to me. It's just cosmetic, the soap is ok. It's appearance should lighten with time, but not go away completely

May 2017 SMF Soap Challenge - fluid acrylic cell pour

Yeah if I was a developer that would be a normal shift. But I am a support person, so I am on call and have to work late shifts when we do upgrades and maintenance on the system I have to work hours when the system is slowest. Normally it is only one or two times a month, but the last 6 weeks...

So, I made my first soap....HELP!

Yeah you need to be going by weight not volume. I guess if the soap is still soft you can throw it all into a bowl and add the missing oil and stir it all together really well. Or put it into a slow cooker and hot process it by adding the missing oil. But I think you are best bet is to junk...

    Please reassure me!

All sodium lactate really does is make the soap firm up so you can cut sooner if you do not gel. Some people claim a boost to lather - but I have never noticed it. It will be fine - might take longer to be ready to unmold and cut is all

How to keep my Pipettes clean?

I don't. I get the disposable ones and throw them out when I use them. But I do not use pipettes that often, I pour my EO and FO against a plastic stir stick into a shot glass. its an old chem lab trick.

Do you like your dual lye soap?

Not sure why you would do a dual lye on this recipe. Usually a 95/5% NaOH/KOH solution is used with high oleic soaps to reduce the slimey oleic soap. I seem to remember a thread that discussed that the dual lye technique wouldn't be needed for higher stearic soap. Might be wrong. I have a bar...

    First multicoloured swirl

Yes, that is glycerin rivers. :) Very striking. Its also a sign of pure soap - with no fillers. :)

Need a HUGE favor from any experienced soaper .....

Yes, but that was not the original plan. See, it took so long for me to be able to remove my cells, that I was worried that the original bas I poured would not let the swirl layer adhere to it and seperate. So I poured another base after my cells were ready so the base would still be soft...

How do you use soapcalc for both KOH & NAOH in same recipe

SO the question is why are you doing dual lye? ETA: I see you are doing shaving soap. I agree with toxicon. Read the shaving thread, and my shaving soap is all KOH. Also that is not how you divide the % of a lye solution. 27% concentration means that 27% of your lye is your alkali and...
