    And for my next trick...

That was before I owned a digital camera, sorry. When I use up my current (over) abundance of soap, I plan to make a couple of batches with FOs that are going to brown, so I will be using that technique. I will take pics.

Before I buy, a question on colorants

I'm glad you have the ability and the willingness to mix all those colors. For someone with tritanopia, I have to get second opinions on what a color actually is. Matching colors or mixing them is out of the question unless someone is there to help.

    And for my next trick...

I would go with browns. You can make a beautiful rock design using cocoa powder and gold mica. Start the pour with the mold on a 30 degree angle. Pour the corner. Top with cocoa powder. Pour a bit more, top with gold mica. Flatten out, top with either cocoa or mica. It is tedious, but absolutely...

    LS Dilution

Sure, mix together equal parts KOH and water. Add half a teaspoon (2-3 ml) and stir. Wait an hour. If the layer remains, repeat. Easier and less time consuming to use less of a SF. But the beauty of LS is that as long as you don't chuck ingredients in willy-nilly, it is infinitely repairable.

    Coronavirus

It makes sense that your body would create more antibodies when you have the germs sitting in your system for more than a week rather than one injection. And they still recommend a follow up vaccine to those that had the actual illness.

    oily feel to soap

I lived with soft water most of my life, and I wouldn't call it oily feeling, either. But definitely not sticky like hard water makes me feel.

    LS Dilution

Did you remember that GM contains fat? I show 7.05 oz KOH for 3% SF LS. But that does not account for the fat in the GM. I would not use any milks in LS without decreasing your starting SF. I, personally, would never use any milks in LS, but that is just me.

    Coronavirus

Wow, different countries! News to me. I thought everyone gave them the same way. I definitely got mine in the SQ (subcutaneous), I asked and checked the needle. Here is a link that shows the varying locations in the arm: https://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p2020.pdf 1. "This is consistent with...

    Soap for Eczema

I would advise all of the above. Trial and error WITH a good allergy doctor or dermatologist. And I would strongly suggest no one start trial and error without extensive allergy testing. You don't want to figure out the hard way that the oil you made the soap with caused a horrible reaction...

    Coronavirus

I am unsurprised. We saw lots of post-antibiotic fungal infections in the hospital. Because your body functions best when the bacteria and yeast compete with each other for nutrients and space. You kill off the bacteria, and you get over-growth of yeast. You kill off too many yeasts, you get an...

    Coronavirus

We are full of yeasts also. I am not surprised. After working in ICU for a couple of years, I got extremely familiar with all of the beasties that can make us ill.

    Ode to Castor oil

Not really. I have found many other things that speed or slow trace, but not really a change that can be traced to castor oil.

    Coronavirus

Most patients who die from complications of the flu, die from pneumonia. I would estimate (hunting data now) that it is easily 96%. And of those, usually it is from bacteria that live in the nose and throat. And that has been true since humans developed the ability to test for bacteria. Why...

I'm in Texas, but all of my family and friends remain in Louisiana. And they are all over in Louisiana. I still own property there. And you can ask my husband, if a storm is hitting Louisiana, I am going to be obsessively watching it.

    Coronavirus

It is important for everyone to advocate for themselves/their family members. And once anyone has any memory issues, for them to bring someone to help listen and ask questions. This is even true whenever a major diagnosis is imminent, as bad news tends to drown out all other information that...

    Coronavirus

Most vaccines, including Co-vid19, are given into the layer of fat just below the skin (subcutaneously). While you certainly have blood vessels in that fatty layer, they are primarily capillaries. Even if the capillaries develop a clot, the clots don't go anywhere. Just like if you get a clot...

    Coronavirus

The theory of immunocompromised patients is that we are not capable of creating the antibodies like a normal person. So, your friend is correct. However, the current tests can not be used to measure the amount of immunity you have. They test whether or not you have been exposed to or had a...
