    5 Most Popular Scents?

It seems many of you have a mint; spearmint or peppermint. I hadn't thought about mint. I like the smell but I don't think I have ever used a mint soap. Now I'm curious  I was expecting more people to say the spa-like scents -- eucalyptus or tea tree -- something that goes with the spa...

SMF Soap Challenge August - Inverted Stamping

Thank you! It was close to what I was hoping for, but not spot on. I'm going to try using nails with smaller heads so I can get a little more detail, but not as smooth as wire. It only takes a few minutes to make a new design and I can always shave it/smooth it to sell if it doesn't work out.

SMF Soap Challenge August - Inverted Stamping

I like it very much. I like the homemade look, the small imperfections that make handmade unique. It's pretty!

    Free Windows 10

It's free and does say something about OEM, mobile operator or carrier. There are companies that will charge if they can get away with it -- your mobile provider or computer manufacturer. Just don't download from them. They may only offer support if you buy and download from them, but support...

    Free Windows 10

I agree, the TOR developers are dedicated. You do have to keep your eyes open and follow the rules if you want it to work as described. I use Firefox too, but I still have to wipe and clean with a cleaner. Part of the maintenance...

    Free Windows 10

I do like that 10 is much faster than 7 -- it is especially noticeable when I turn it on or bring it out of sleep mode. I'm hesitant to like that part because a bunch of "updates" and the speed is destroyed. I got my first "update" this morning but all is still good with the speed.

SMF Soap Challenge August - Inverted Stamping

I wanted to do something a little more rustic, and not a perfect outline. While I was rummaging through wire and such I looked over at my stained glass work space and saw the nails. I then saw the Styrofoam, and thought, hmmm that could work. It worked well for what I wanted. Very easy to...

Prefrences, new window or same page?

New tab the vast majority of the time. I'm very accustomed to right clicking on a link and choosing which I want. If I'm doing a lot of research I will use new windows to help categorize all the information and links.

    Free Windows 10

Privacy is an issue with me, especially when browsing and searching. I don't keep anything on my computer that would be of interest to anyone, so not a big concern. I can wipe a hard drive and reload it with no problem. But... every friggin internet page makes me sign in to use their services...

    Salt bar- post #10,000!

I embedded my regular soap in the standard salt bar recipe (80/20) for decoration. Salt is harsh and I knew my skin wouldn't take kindly to it at full strength (all salt bar with no conditioning). I don't know if it will be what I want because I just made it yesterday. The initial hand wash...

    I quit.

When we make mistakes it is reassuring to have support from other people, and a good nights rest never hurts. Sorry you struggled with it, but so glad you are moving on. You appear to be very good at soap making.

How do you make teas for soap?

I freeze so many things that my freezer fills quickly. You can "can" it, if like me your freezer space is at a minimum. I froze the mulberries for later use but with all the summer veggies & fruits I have to make room in the freezer. I had to use it.

    5 Most Popular Scents?

I've been reading about vanilla and the struggle to use it in soap. I appreciate the help and advice on that one. I know it is a popular scent -- maybe it makes people hungry haha. I assume it will be a nice one to use in fall colored soaps; making them a bit darker. Thanks everyone for...

    First Show

I'm not sure if you are asking me??? I'm not as skilled or talented at the beautiful soaps as the people here. I typically make simple, natural, as close to nature as possible soap using additives from my farm; honey from my hives, dandelions, mulberries, etc. I'm using a basic recipe for a...

Aprice, the wire in the picture I posted above this picture (showing a hair pick and swirled bent wire) is what she used. The name of the soap is "Cool Citrus Basil". I didn't immediately see the recipe but it could be on her blog??? Her blog is VERY good; a very talented individual, and very...

Would be fun to try, but would like a good recipe!

Just a little fun factoid I picked up at my beekeepers meetings -- honey doesn't go bad. Warm the honey and the crystals disappear. A food that doesn't expire! Who knew? Haha, I see someone else has already said that... Late to the party as usual.

Gift Box Source Frustration: Narrow, Shallow box needed

Vermont Country Store packages their soaps like that. I was considering using their wholesale program to skip all the hassles of making, marketing, packaging, etc. I could use a "certified organic" label without applying. Surprisingly (or maybe not) there are sources for that box size on ebay.

How do you make teas for soap?

If I have a lot of herbs I put it in my slow cooker on low. I can walk away and I don't need to watch over it. It's there for me when I have the time to put in mason jars.
