    Low sweat melt and pour

Besides wrapping right away, avoid temperature changes as much as possible. Once they are wrapped if they are still sweating I would try putting them in something absorbent, maybe packing them in a box with dry rice. (I have not tried this, just brainstorming. ) Or if you can get some of those...

    snowflake mold question....

I pipe whipped soap or soap frosting into designs with a small tip so I can fix mistakes. I don't have to hurry and I because it is thick it is easy to "clean up" any soap that goes where it shouldn't. I use regular CP soap not a MP whip so when it hardens you can't tell the difference between...

How to make my own perfume

I use the regular lip balm tubes but with rounded tops, my lip balm has the flat tops.

A few questions before I begin my 1ST ever batch!

You'll have a hard time anywhere without a thicker skin, but good luck to you just the same.

Your First Thought on My Logo

I think your box and logo are gorgeous. To me they invoke luxury, high end product. I would want to know what the soap was like by looking at the box. Awesome job!

Your First Thought on My Logo

I agree with you, however please realize that slapping a lamb on a product doesn't mean it will sell or everyone would do it. You see besides the psychological there is also an intelligence you are dealing with. We don't run on instinct alone. Blue might be soothing, but paint a doctors office...

    Himalayan Pink Salt

I use pink Himalayan salt in salt bars without any problems. Any salt you use could cause problems if it is not fine ground. There is no different in hardness (or no discernible difference) in salt types. (Talking real salt as opposed to Epsom salts).

Your First Thought on My Logo

I'm sorry, I saw baby product - like a logo for onesies, not pure and gentle soap. I don't see the correlation you are trying to make to Dove soap. But hey, if it works for you go for it.

Can HP ingredients be converted to CP

Run the ingredients through a lye calculator. The ingredients are the same for CP and HP, although the water amount may differ with the personal taste of the maker. No matter the recipe, or where you got it, still run it though a lye calculator to check that there were no typos. Edit: short...

SMF Soap Challenge August - Inverted Stamping

I can't join in, just can't commit to anything at the moment but I was thinking that plastic cookie cutters would work great for this, or stainless steel ones if you have them. Just an option for all of you! Good luck guys.

My 1st shaving soap, not very good..

Another recommendation for that thread. Honestly make that recipe once and you will never make bar soap with clay for shaving again. I don't care if you use it on your legs it lathers like you sprayed it out of a can and you can leave the lather to sit over a half hour without it flattening at...

A few questions before I begin my 1ST ever batch!

If your skin is so thin that you think she was trying to act superior to you, or was trying to do anything other than help you then you are probably right to leave - not only this forum but probably all of the internet. No, I'm not being snarky - I am being sarcastic. You see it is very...

    Stamping Burlap

After reading this I went and stamped (just a big address stamp) a muslin bag (just cotton draw string) and it worked! I was so surprised it came out very clear even with smallish font. This opens up possibilities.

A few questions before I begin my 1ST ever batch!

First let me say that the others are correct in wanting to get the correct values. However if it were me I would look at it this way; sap value of canola oil is about 173. Sap value of olive oil is an average of 190. Average those two and you get approximately 182 which is what I would use, and...

Your First Thought on My Logo

First impression was baby products. It is very cute, but if you are going for goats milk soap geared to adults the logo didn't hit me that way. It is a picture I would expect on baby products.

Whose your favorite materials supplier and why?

Depends on the supply item. I took a look and I order from over 20 different suppliers. Some for bottles, some for jars, some for EO & FO, base oils from another. My choices are based on best price for what I want. Soapers choice for oils, FO & EO are from all over, same with colors. It...

    Making your own body oils?

I make a body oil to spray on after showering. I just use the oils I like. Some of them are infused oils so those do take time to make since I use the cold infusion method so as to not cook, or damage the herbs. In the bottle I use half water and half oil with a tiny (very tiny) amount of...

    Stamping Burlap

While reading this I thought if you used something like canvas, you could probably use an iron on transfer. It would give you the ability to design the band the way you want on your computer, then you could transfer it to the fabric. For me it would be easier than stamping, which takes some...

    Colorado Soapers?

Haha, my main is a resto druid on vek'nalash. I also have a holy preist ( cant play disc to save my life!) A fire mage, a ret pally (was a tank back in wrath), and I'm leveling up a warrior tank. It's nice to see older players! (My kids think I'm crazy!)

    Colorado Soapers?

World of Warcraft, snappy? It is my vice - when I spend too much time on wow I start getting "the look" from my significant other who can not understand the draw of the game.
