    First Batch in the mold!

They're 3" x 2" x 1.4", so pretty small. Supposed to be about 4.9 ounces according to BB.

    First Batch in the mold!

Not all that much; just enough to not quite fill bramble berry's 12 cavity rectangular silicone mold.

    How would this recipe fare?

Oh heck. That's supposed to be 2:1 not almost 3:1. I rebuilt the recipe last night in soap calc so I could put notes into it and print capture it so I'll look tonight to see if I had the correct ratio.

    How would this recipe fare?

Whipped it up tonight. Over did the SB again. Soap on a stick is so sexy. No. Really. Used a combination of Amber Moss and Tobacco/Vanilla FO. Not really liking it. Forgot to put in the sodium lactate so I'm making another batch tomorrow. And then going to attempt a cucumber yogurt...

    How would this recipe fare?

Thanks to whomever moved the thread to here. I actually never saw there was a recipe feedback sub-forum! My probability of productivity at work tomorrow just had a hard dip since I'll be reading in here for the first half of the day. :)

    How would this recipe fare?

Well I'll be darned. My first shot at figuring something soapilicious out. Gonna rock back on my heels and snap my suspenders a bit, "Yes 'em, mighty fine this here beginner's luck."

    First Batch in the mold!

We're going to work at it for at least another 12-18 months to see how much we like it. I will say this. I've done a good amount of precious metals prospecting. I've gotten on a rope to rappel into mine shafts that we had no idea how many hundreds of feet deep they went. I've squeezed into...

    How would this recipe fare?

I've been trying to read and watch a lot of tutorials and such and put together this little guy tonight. Maybe a little on the soft side with stearic/palmitic coming in at 28, but if I understand correctly adding 1 tsp of sodium lactate per pound of oils will solidify the little feller right...

    First Batch in the mold!

For my first off-spring, I do love it. He's not a horribly ugly little thing; I'll call him a pug soap. Not pretty, but still lovable. I'd almost say bulldogish but if you've been around a bulldog for more than 30 minutes you'll know they are a little prone to rear end aromatics of the...

    First Batch in the mold!

Well, I did my first soap batch in the history of history tonight. I thought I had ordered three molds, but I only got two so I had to use a rectangular individual 12 bar for it. I made Zany's ever-popular no-slime Castille because I wanted something really simple to cut my teeth on as far as...

    Using pineapple purée

This is probably one of the most helpful and polite forums I've ever seen, bar none. Great group of people the admins have cultivated from around the world. I used to be one of the lead admins for the official forums for one of the perennially top 5 most valuable sports franchises on this...

Got a little order in today...

That's a pretty good idea right there. Although right now when I open the cabinet I have them sitting in, it smells fantastic!

    Recipe for the strongest cleansing/degreasing?

Sounds like a perfect marketing/promotion opportunity to include a small sample bottle of a really nourishing lotion. With a nice little 10% off coupon for the order of a full sized one.

Got a little order in today...

Picked up a few from Mad Mica. I'm going to use the three on the far left to make some for my dad and his fishing buddies to put on their boats in a fishing lure color pattern known as "fire tiger". Should make them easy to find where you put them last.

Got a little order in today...

I might've gone a bit overboard when deciding what samples I wanted to buy to play around with... I really should've put on gloves when I was unpacking them from the shipping bubble wrap. Fingers smell like vanilla, a bit of banana, fabric softener, and a floral I can't quite nail down...

    Recipe for the strongest cleansing/degreasing?

Thanks ya'll! Great tips. The borax idea is great. It just so happens I have a bunch in the closet for smelting ore.

    Recipe for the strongest cleansing/degreasing?

One of the types of soap I want to make are for my dad and stepmom who are eternally playing with our boats and farm machines and lawn equipment. I'd like to make them something that is really strong in the degreasing department, or as strong as we can make without adding petrochem...

How do you personally add yogurt/milk into Soapmaker 3?

Thanks y'all. I added it under additives as liquid since that makes a nice little catch all for adding in things like pureed cucumber or vegan nut milk types.

    Howdy from Texas:))

Howdy! What part of the state are you in? I'm from Seguin originally but have also lived in Lubbock, San Marcos, and Port Aransas for my college days. Also North Richland Hills and Keller for a few years. Moving back in December.
