    Brine soap recipe feedback, please

I have been making salt bars all this time, and I started to question if I was making my salt bars right, I became confused on the super fat and what it actually is. I was adding the SF oils into my batch rather then discounting the lye in my receipe; the last batch I made didnt looked too good...

When to add Super Fat Oil?

my first CP salt bars, I have always made, what I thought was a salt bar, the HP way. Recently, I got tired of the look so I started to check into how others were making salt bars the CP way. Found out that this forum makes soap better then any other forum and that includes Soaping 101.

When to add Super Fat Oil?

I finally made that salt bar. I just wanted to let those that have not tried to make a salt bar know how I did my. First, I needed to know when I was to pour the SF oils, I used 10% SF and shunt2011, 50% salt. I have always made HP salt bar and never did a 50% salt. As embarrassed as it makes...

cost of markets and craft fairs

When I first started I did flea markets. The cost was ten dollars/day (my day started at 4 am and went till 3 pm when I finally got home) I did this to get my feet wet and get my speech on. I figured I was going to have to work harder at a flea market to sale a very expensive soap, and I was...

cost of markets and craft fairs

And what gets me is that some ask for a discount. I will discount at 60+ but its very little. I think that it depends on what we are trying to do. Some one once told me, "You go to as many, because that depends on how much you will make." I dont do large shows either, anything over 120 for two...

    Goat Milk...to burn or not?

NsMar, I added little at a time because the person I am learning this from said to keep the GM from overheating and to do that its not adding a bit at a time, let it cool, and add more. I see that as I was making this that it was to much time. AMD, yes my GM saponified, I hope its still good...
