lot of good ways to cut soap. I too, have a Bud cutter and I love it. I just got it, I try so many different ways to cut soap, I build my own, then I finally bought one that was more of a waste of money then anything. By the way, buying from overseas is like not have a refunds, even if its...
DeeAnna, I do apologize for being rude, your work that you have done is great, I do follow you, and believe I was out of line. I don't know if I misunderstood what I was reading or I just didn't understand what I was doing. Either way, I apologize.
Why in the world would anyone want to "shot down in flames"?? Maybe this is why I am having a time posting....fear. Not all soap makers are created equal. Not all situations are perfect, and.....to create takes guilts. Stepping out of the norm should be a, "Wow, I never thought of that".
The most popular is the CN and OO, the others that are more exotic (sort of speak), like grape seed and avocado, I would use them as added substance, if you know what I mean. Looks like you know what you are doing.
my labels have my ingredients, and those that are allergic read what is in the soap. Its difficult to tell who is and who isn't at a farmers market. I do want to replace the soy though with something else. I don't use a lot, 5% is how much I use of soy.
I did know that! Thanks! I will do that. I was thinking that I will cover all my soaps with cheese cloth. It can keep the dust off and keep the scent in too.:)
My Eos run away when curing, especially the fruity kind. So I was reading, to keep/prolong the EO scent, some use cottonballs to place where soaps are stored. I decided to cover my soaps with cheese cloth as they cure because it would act like a blanket over them. I noticed that the cloth acts...
I should try a tester and see how I like it. I am looking for something to replace soy. I get people that have allergies with soy. I feel that internal is not the same as external use. But I don't know.
I had that situation today, was making HP and just then I realized that it was after the lye. Since it was already mix I went ahead and added. Will see how it works. I just won't do that again. The lather seemed to be ok. I cleaned up and didn't noticed a lot of difference, will see though.
For whatever reason, I decided to take the castor oil that I use in my soap and mix my EO into the Castor oil. I let it sit overnight and then pour into the batch at the time I would normally add the EO. I did this because I have read that certain oils can be carrier oils and are anchors. Has...
I've been wanting to use Canola oil instead of the soy that I've been using. Seems lot of people can't do soy. Does Canola change the soap any? Is Canola an unpredictable oil?
Sounds like taxes, we don't have to pay them; only if you use the roads and sit on park benches; then its tax time.
So might as well get used to making labels. Know the dos and donts that are more important, and.......... the rest.
