    Cosmetic Glitter

For CP, (haven't done this HP) you can also hide ash with mica. All you do it mix mica with a little oil- and I mean a little and kind of squirt it on to the top of your soap and then texture your tops or swirl it around a bit and that will do a pretty good job of hiding ash. The mica also won't...

    First CP attempt

Which is what I should have done and advocate people do now. LOL Do as I say not as I do. :D I used a Honeysuckle FO- why??? No idea...other than my aunt loves honeysuckle so I was thinking about giving her a bar at the time. Noone got a bar except the garbage. The recipe was probably fine...

    First CP attempt

Oh yeah, I remember mine 12 years later. LOL....I'm sure yours turned out better than mine. :) I'm here to ask for pics too...love them. :)

    dispersing sunflower oil

I bet that would work with a crinkled bag on top- then maybe to get more texture move it around so you have the peaks? Looks like it could work. :D Nice looking soap.

Difference between Coconut oil 76 degree vs. 92 degree

I've soaped them both and there was no difference. I just adjusted in soap calc. Soap was still fine. :) Hope this helps.

    soap smorgasbord

I do the same thing. :) Like Judy between the kitchen and various bathrooms- I have 10-12 around.

    I swear

LOL! Those cakes look amazing. I suck with a piping bag so I couldn't do them. I have tried and have had so many epic fails I just surrendered. :) In a pinch, if you have a Sam's club membership- their Grade A Olive Oil works well and around me pretty cheap.

    Best vendors for candle supplies

Candle Cocoon never heard of them but I'll check them out. I always forget about Indiana Candle Supply and they are close to me. Thanks for the reminder.

    triple scent/throw question

Absolutely!! Safe being the key word. Unfortunately- the buying public (mostly) doesn't know that it could start a fire. It freaks me out. I'm mostly a soaper but I do my candles here and there for family mostly though every time I gift them- people think I should sell. As we know- gifting and...

What kind of wax do you usually prefer to work with?

Paraffin or a para soy blend I came up with. I hate straight soy...

    Advice & opinions please

CB 135 is a horrible wax...sorry it just is. I could barely get a throw in it after 5 years. It burns nice though with CD wicks. You definitely want to use 1oz PP of wax if not 1.5 depending. I would let it cool also to about 90-100. It should make it smoother. Though after the first burn...

    triple scent/throw question

I recently saw a person on Ebay selling triple scented soy candles. Now normally I don't like soy but was intrigued at the triple scenting... Umm this person in copy actually put that they use 3oz of FO in 1 pound of soy wax. I wonder if she knows that pretty much this FO will ignite at 3oz...

    Shampoo Bar Question

Ya know- your right. Every time I see people who love cp soap in their hair, it's thicker coarser curly even. I have fine thin hair so it just doesn't agree with me. I did give it a valiant effort though. LOL

    This is Scary!

Yep you should be fine for a rebatch after you see the inside. You can pretty much save any soap rebatching- it's so much easier when the soap is fresh as well. I would see what it does in the next few days.

Artistic Flare - Soap Swirls and Such

Gelled soap can be cut earlier since the heat helps it to saponify faster so it's harder quicker. Gelled soap deepens colors like Mica- the soap is more translucent looking I guess. It's hard to describe. Gelled soap can burn off fragrance more so than non gelled soap though so use your stronger...

    Shampoo Bar Questions, Etc.

Ballyhoo is my favorite (Luci is amazing and so smart- good thing we live close)...don't use high ph soap on your hair. I learned that lesson the hard way. Ballyhoo solid condish is great- love it. I haven't tried Get Lathered though to be fair. The shampoo is nice but I can't cheat on Luci and...

    Shampoo Bar Question

This might be going against the grain but here goes: CP soap is not good for your hair. It just isn't . I wanted to love it in my hair and I used it for years and would always have breakage. I stopped silicones, protein, sls, etc...my hair broke so bad that someone asked me who took scissors...

    About To Jump Into CP

You can get an Escali scale on amazon for less than 20 bucks I think. It measures up to 11 pounds if you are starting with small batches. I love both of mine. ;)
