I've never heard of sugar hardening soap. Salt? Yes. Sugar? No.

As long as you don't add any water or water based ingredients to it (aloe, hydrosols, etc) then no, a preservative isn't necessary.

I'd only do this in small amounts, especially if you leave it in your bathroom. I had an herbal apple cider vinegar spray that I kept in the bathroom and within a month there was mold inside the bottle. :sick:

If you like it, try a different container instead. Maybe a tube?

I like smaller bars, as well Sudsy. I've got small hands & the big chunky bars are hard to handle in the shower.

I don't haggle at all. I've got a set price & it stays at that. I've never had anyone try to haggle either. I've had a few customers complain that $5 is a lot for a bar of soap, but I don't lower the price for them. I do occasionally do trades with other vendors if we're both interested.

Ditto this. I've got 2 with eczema & using only water is preferable, but when they absolutely do need something more than water, they use 100% olive oil soap with no fragrance or essential oils.

I don't use either, but palm kernel oil is more like coconut oil, so if you're using coconut oil, then I'd skip the pko.
