    cpop beer soap?

Well, I turn on my oven to 170, turn on my oven light, put my soap in. After a couple minutes I turn the oven off. The soap gels & is nice and easy to remove the next afternoon.

Runny batch; botched batch? I don't know what happened.

You weighed everything correctly & correctly calculated everything, right? If so, then I'd just give it another day or 2 and then check it again. It may just soak up all the extra liquid and turn out fine. Also, 1/2 ounce of glycerin for a 1 pound batch (was it 1 lb of oils or 1 lb total?)...

    Help!Please

Does your family have dry skin? Or do they have eczema? They're different things & are usually treated differently. If it's just dry skin, then coconut oil used in small amounts in a soap should be fine, just up the superfat of your recipe. Using a lotion or body butter after washing will...

Don't even know where to start here in Missouri!!!

Welcome to the forum :) I highly recommend the Soaping 101 & Soapqueen videos that Ruby61 linked to. I also highly recommend this book: The Everything Soapmaking Book by Alicia Grosso. It discusses the different types of soaping & is very easy to understand. You can check your local library...

    Body Scrubs

What kind of body scrub are you looking for? One using soap? One using just oils & an exfoliant? One that foams? An emulsifying one? The easiest body scrub recipe I've ever seen is 1 part vegetable oil to 2 parts sugar.

Runny batch; botched batch? I don't know what happened.

When you separated the batches, you say that that trace was barely visible. Is it possible that it wasn't quite light trace yet & you separated them too early? Also, how big of a batch is it?

    Better/Worse Quality FO Suppliers?

I use Nature's Garden, Brambleberry, Bitter Creek North, Elements, AH/RE and a few others. As far as quality, all fragrance oils are different and will act differently. Some suppliers let you know how a FO behaves in CP (like Nature's Garden, Bitter creek & Brambleberry), but even then you...

    cpop beer soap?

I freeze my beer soaps for a couple hours so they don't overheat & then cpop them overnight. I haven't had any problems that way (knock on wood).

    eco friendly packaging?

There's: SKS http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/CardboardContainers.html eco vision http://ecovisionpackaging.com/ Chicago paper tubes http://www.chicagopapertube.com/ http://www.custompapertubes.com/ A lot of the plastic jars from suppliers are recyclable, but not recycled. I also really like...

    Non greasy lotion bar????

All lotion bars are going to be greasy somewhat. First, I'd drop the olive oil and go with something like FCO, SAO, AKO or Jojoba. Or a combination of both even. I'd also switch out the shea or drop it real low & replace it with mango.

Anyone know anything about Cloth Diapers..a laundry soap ?

We used to use castile soap for our laundry. The only problem we found was that it would kind of build up after a bit. We never had that problem on our cloth diapers though, because we always double rinsed our diapers (sometimes more if they needed it), used vinegar during the rinse and sun...

    Baby soap

Mineral oil is unsaponifiable, so it wouldn't work in soap. Soapqueen has a nice simple recipe for baby oil on their blog right now http://www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/lotion/natural-baby-oil/

    Baby soap

That's not a soap (salt). It contains surfactants that work together to counteract the burning sensation.

    Recipe Failure

To me it sounds like not enough lye or too much water. But do you usually use palm oil? If so, is this your first recipe without it? With most of your oils in this recipe being soft oils, it would have taken a while for it to trace, definitely longer than recipes with palm.

    Baby soap

Any soap that gets in someone's eyes will burn due to the salt.

    Thermal Transfer Method Failure!

False trace is one of the drawbacks of the thermal transfer method. How many regular batches of CP soap have you made before trying this method?
