    Deodorant Duping

Just curious, what does the deodorant have to do with clogging pipes? Is it just the residue left on your skin being washed down the drain that is the problem? Thanks!

What about 50% goat ghee and 50% oelic sunflower?

For SAP value I used what was in SoapCalc for “Ghee, Bovine”. Seemed to work fine. I don’t think the odor is from spoilage. I think it is in the nature of the saponification of the particular fatty acids in ghee. Also, doesn’t hemp have it’s own stronger smell?

    Ingredients Explanation

Sorry. Didn’t mean to make anyone do work I could do. Just thought some experiential descriptions would be better than trying to sort through all the scientific and seller oriented descriptions.

    Ingredients Explanation

I really like the Norwegian Formula hand cream by Neutrogena. It works really well and absorbs completely. I want to understand what each ingredient in the cream contributes to the overall properties of the cream, with an eye toward possibly incorporating some of them in a lip balm that...

What about 50% goat ghee and 50% oelic sunflower?

No. I chose my lightest color ghee. I am a bit skeptical about the deodorizing, so trying it without first. That first bar had a definite “goaty” smell after saponification. It is like the smell of goat cheese. Unfortunately, the smell lingers on your hands after washing. I’ve since tried...

What about 50% goat ghee and 50% oelic sunflower?

First all ghee soap is in the mold. Just made a single bar to test properties of the ghee and to see if there was a bad smell. Used goats milk as liquid.

    Cinnamon Leaf?

I have both, but haven’t used either in soap or b&b products. To my nose, cinnamon leaf is milder, with a hint of clove. Cinnamon bark is much stronger with a true “sweet” cinnamon scent that is much weaker in the leaf. I like both, but I like clove.

What about 50% goat ghee and 50% oelic sunflower?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of laws and regulations when it comes to selling goat milk or processed goat milk products like ghee. This is a hobby farm, not a big business. I do give it to friends or family that are interested, but start-up costs for a dairy business is prohibitive at this time.

What about 50% goat ghee and 50% oelic sunflower?

This thread has certainly piqued my interest. I have just started making soap for family use only. I have a farm and am trying to avoid buying products to make soap and just use what I already make. I have some lard from our pigs, but they aren’t really lard pigs so supply is limited. However...
