My first shaving soap is a success!

This is just what I'm looking for to make for Christmas, can you please post the recipes for the shaving soap? I'm also looking for PVC pipe to mold it in. I was at Home Depot and found some black 3" and 2". The 3" looks to big and the 2" looks to small. I think I need 2 1/2", don't even...

    Is my Label correct?

I plan on giving my soap to friends and family this coming Christmas. I do not plan on putting the ingredients on the wrapping. If they ask me what's in it, of course I'll tell them.It is a gift and I feel giving all that extra info on my 'label' is not necessary. Any thoughts on this, anyone?

    Making molds

I line my wooden molds with parchment paper and after the soap sets up I just lift if out of the mold, and cut the bars. No problem (yet) and I think there won't be any problem in the future.

    Curing Soap

Whether to fill silicone mold to the top or to leave some space

Is there a problem having space at the top of the mold? If the batter is liquid enough to settle down to the bottom, what difference does it make if there is an inch or so of space at the top the mold?
