Actually, why does soap with soy wax need to be CPOPed? I thought that this was only required when using high% of liquid oils, soaping at low temps, and using natural colorants?

I considered 0% SF but when I dissolved the lye in water the temperature shot up to close to 90 C, so I figured it can't be that impure... maybe I was wrong. Besides, the prospect of a lye-heavy soap scares me more than death itself so I gave myself a bit of a safety margin. Hopefully the 1%...

I have always used OO pomace, and it does not colour my bars at all. A soap with 85% pomace, 10% CO, and 5 % castor (Zany's no-slime bastille) came out pure white. I think it also has a longer shelf life than EVOO, but it does accelerate trace in my experience.
