Created a spinach & green tea exfoliant bar this morning. I had to squeeze water from the unthawed spinach for last night's dinner. I looked at the water and said why not? I used the tea leaves from the green tea as the exfoliant. I'll see how exfoliant it is once I test it. I hope it's not too...

Sounds good. Thankfully, you found a good formula to use but I haven't yet. I'm getting close. Once I settle on something I will continue to make small batches to test EO & FO and tweak or reformulate soaps.

Sorry to hear that @icay. I keep my batches to 8 oz to experiment. I totally screwed up the first two batches so I definitely learned my lesson. I hope you figure it out so you don't repeat.

I agree. That's what I have done as well. Small batches ~ 12 oz (4 bars of soap). I think the quality of the soap is more important in the beginning. I'm new at soap making too but I once saw a demonstration on using lemon juice (instead of water) with soaping on Soaping 101. Well, her soap did not harden either it was basically mush. Coffee has a higher pH than water but lower than lemon juice on the pH chart. You may want to investigate...
