I have always loved a beautifully wrapped soap, but always felt let down once it was opened and the wrapper was gone. The soap is so plain in comparison that it seems to me they are selling packaging, not soap.

Last night I mixed Spiced Cranberry from CC and Sandalwood from Gemlite to get a Cranberry Woods type fragrance. So far it smells great!

What does redwood cedar smell like? Is it a men's cologne type smell like cool water or is it more woodsy? Thanks!

Did you use any fragrance in your soap? That's what usually turns soap dark brown.

To me Ylang Ylang III smells like a floral mixed with the smell you would get walking through an industrial rubber plant or Pep Boys around their tire section. I've never smelled the other varieties,but I do not like this one.:sad:

Vanilla Musk from CC is fantastic and sticks, but it's not a straight vanilla. It has some woody notes to it and it's not very sweet. It also heats and moves at the speed of light, so I'm only using it in blends. It's one of my all time favorite fragrances, very unisex. I just wish it was...

I have added 1.5% many times, but never more. I have started using it again in one recipe that I really like, but I don't use it most of the time.

I wrap mine is waxed baker tissue I get at Smart & Final. You can get a box of 1000 sheets, 5 1/2 X 9 for a few bucks. It's perfect and cheap, then you can wrap in pretty paper over that if you like.

I do exactly what Seawolfe does and it works for me. It's important to have the soap in something that retains the heat like glass so it cools slowly and won't harden before you can add your additive. Keep stirring so no skin develops.
