Apple pie scented- I actually used a combination of apple cider from daystar and apple jack n peel from wsp, I wish I'd been able to get the star more on center, goodness knows I tried.

Do you have any information on how the fragrance oil has performed for other people? Its also possible that the fragrance oil is only usable for melt n pour or candles or something because it just does this.

To be honest I wouldn't use it unless I was hot processing, it always seizes on me.

I'm wondering if you might have miscalculated the lye on the second soap, or maybe had your scale go out on you?

Just got mine in: I didnt care for the bourbon, unfortunately it smells like perfume to me I like the green note in the fig one I adore the spiked eggnog The whiskey is sweet and subtle and I like it none of them really capture the alcohol smell to my nose which is a shame

I always use vinegar for quick unmolding and a strong bar, I'd stay the hecky away from adding stearic where I don't have to.

I usually only have a minute or two to do my pours with a well behaving fragrance, because these are the life choices I've made XD

Fire motif! nice! Yeah like dude, that fragrance is so hard to work with, and I already have a really speedy recipe so it was like pchooo nope you have solid soap now.

I do have enough of the fragrance for three more batches, so we'll see if I either refine the technique and make it a real thing, or become smart enough to use hot process instead!

I'm actually giddy with all these complements, thank you guys! And yeah XD I don't know if I ever want to try to replicate this- scalding hot soap isn't fun! But! At least I know this works as far as a technique to deal with seizing!
