EO to use with honey and oatmeal soap

Does anyone have any suggestions on which EO would go nicely with a honey and oatmeal soap? I have just made one with a honey FO which I realise isn’t a good idea if I want a natural soap. Looking on the Internet it seems as though Jasmine would go nicely but it’s way too expensive... thanks...

    Rules for giving soap away

Definitely not your fault, it was a gift and not even intended for the other person, but I can understand how you feel When I give away my soaps I label it and give it wrapped in tissue. This is one of my first soaps. So they don’t have to open it if they don’t want to 😊

Im really confused about fragrance amounts

Think I’ve got your friends sense of smell! As you say the smell does fade away gradually anyway. It’s so annoying as when you give someone a bar of soap even just to look at, what do they do - smell it! 😂

    What are these tiny spots

Yes, it is a good suggestion to blend the oils beforehand to see if there are air bubbles. I use a wire cutter, I’ll try and send a clearer photo. After all this help my next trial will be without this problem! 😊 thankyou

    What are these tiny spots

Thanks for your reply. As I thought it could be air bubbles I actually did a soap two days ago at a very thin trace, I didn’t use shea butter as I thought it could be a culprit. This is what I have - spots again 🙄

    What are these tiny spots

Okay 😊 so maybe I should heat my oils to a higher temperature to begin with. I think they are at 130F before cooling down.

Im really confused about fragrance amounts

Thanks for your reply, very helpful. Yes, you are right so far the soap doesn’t smell strong in the moulds today (thank goodness!) as the smell was so strong at the time of mixing I was worried I had used too much FO. I’ve now decided fragrance isn’t for me, especially this honey fragrance...

    What are these tiny spots

Thank you! I’ve just cut another soap with the same problem, this time I only used coconut oil, castor oil and olive oil. I mixed in the lye water when both were at 110F I’ve never mixed at a higher temperature....

Im really confused about fragrance amounts

After reading this thread and having just finished a batch using FO I was wondering how much FO I should have used? Oils were 800gr it’s just that the honey fragrance was very strong. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I used 10ml from the bottle. I now realize I should have weighed the FO, sodo calculator gave me 24gr but...

    What are these tiny spots

Thankyou so much for your advice. It’s good to know these problems will not affect using the soap. I’ll give everything another go. One of these days I’ll find my perfect recipe! Definitely isn’t this one though! 😊 Thanks again
