That’s a good idea! At the moment I have decided to sprinkle in over the finished soap before wrapping it in tissue to gift it. As you say it’s a shame as it have such a lovely perfume.

Hi, I am using dried lavender to decorate my soap. I was quite annoyed when I went to cut the loaf as it looks as though there are burn marks around the lavender. Any ideas on how to prevent this? In the photo I have already taken the dried lavender off as it didn’t stick very well either even...

I’ve just made a soap with Pink Grapefruit. I’m pleased with the outcome but find the essential oil hasn’t a very strong smell, I used 2% Has anyone any ideas what other essential oil I could use, maybe using 1% pink grapefruit and 1% of something else? Thanks

Hi, I have previously read on this forum that clay can be used to help the soap ‘keep’ the lemon fragrance from lemon EO. I would like to try this as my lemon cold process soap doesn’t smell of lemon at all, I use 15%. Can anyone tell me how much clay I would need to use and if it would change...

It is the second time this has happened! My soap has shrunk in the middle! It was covered as usual and gels well, but after 12 hours it looks like this, so annoying! Never happened before just this time and on the batch I did two days ago! Any ideas would be most welcome. Thank you
