I was showing someone how to make soap and we made this soap together. It's truly ugly and awful! 😂 I was so busy banging on about safety, oils, lye etc that any artistry went out the window. And our DIY mould was too big so there wasn't enough batter to fill it. 🤦 Smells gorgeous though 😉

I've rediscovered soapmaking after a break of 10 years or so. Even back then, I didn't make very much so I'm basically a faux beginner. These are semi successful, which is fine. I was making use of the cut offs from last week's soap and trying out using cocoa powder.

This is so fantastic! I love supporting charities and I love soapmaking! I never intend to sell my soaps and I'm so pleased to have something useful come out of all the fun I'm having! Oh poo. I've just read the replies to this thread. So I can't donate my soap after all 😭
