Thread titles and my very strange mind.

I have also had some creative shifts over 'Need Help Melting', although I tend to think of the book Wicked and a different type of Elphaba, a suicidal Wicked Witch of the West, who decides to just dump the bucket of water on herself after all of her trials and tribulations, her last thought...

SMF Soap Making Challenge: September Discoloring FO

I did that too! But mostly because I forget things. I need to put a sticky on the cabinet that says 'spritz and cover' too, I think, because I am the worst with that, but I have been getting better.

    Browsing soap pics

I love the one stamped with little seahorse. He looks like he is just swimming around in the water. So cute!

SMF Soap Making Challenge: September Discoloring FO

I am going with Pizza Hut Red because 1) I like red. 2) I work there and 3) my FO is going to be Turkish Mocha, and when you research all things Turkish, the very first color you see is red. I hope the rest of it falls into place that well.....

CP or HP...my final answer. What's yours?

Oh! I'm sorry! It's in a 60% solution. I have always gotten mine from BB. I didn't know it came in a powdered form. I am glad you asked that. I dug it out of the cabinet, and now I'm wondering where it all went. I have about 1/10 of a 4 oz. bottle left, and I really don't remember using it...

SMF Soap Making Challenge: September Discoloring FO

Thank you Ms. Galaxy! Now I hope I can pull this off. I was able to piece together a wooden mold that Solomon didn't eat, too.

CP or HP...my final answer. What's yours?

I read to use .2 oz per pound and add it to the lye water, so that is how I have always done it. So for example, for a 3 lb batch of soap. I would add .6 oz SL to my lye water.

CP or HP...my final answer. What's yours?

I don't understand it, either. I tried adding it in again after the time I forgot it, and again, it cooked up much quicker/gloppier than the previous batch. I left it out in the next one, and my cook time was longer, it was easier to get in the mold, I had time to add my color and not panic. No...

SMF Soap Making Challenge: September Discoloring FO

Question: If we decorate, do we need to decorate towards the brand/logo (your example, Victoria's Secret, maybe you might have put some...ah, melt & pour angel wings on there for the VS angels) or toward our FO scent (I don't know what you used, if you stated it, I missed it, I am sorry. But...

SMF Soap Making Challenge: September Discoloring FO

Whooohooo I'm in! Only one small hitch in the way at the moment. 1. GalaxyMLP (I almost forgot to add the sign up... Oh wait, I did) 2. Newbie (Thinking brown. Wait, that sounds like I'm focusing on using the john.) 3. Mrs. Spaceship (The plan is in place, it's just a matter of getting the...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I can surely believe that. I had an Alienware PC that fritzed almost to the day after the warranty expired. We all know how pricey those babies are. It was a beauty while she lasted, for sure, but that cinched it so I'll never buy one again. For my birthday last year, my fella bought me a refurb...

This is me... connecting our names.

Love putting faces with names! This is me, and Solomon's ear. I don't go many places without the bully. His mug can be seen over in the 'Show me your pets' thread. (Although I am always always always more than happy to show more of that guy, but right now I am a little miffed at him because he...

What do you do with your messed up soaps?

Heck, send it to me. My nose likes every thing.
  14. TwystedPryncess

    Which scale to buy?

With notes in caps on some packages 'Do not let this get wet!!!' (lye) 80 lb deliveries, and Solomon tries to eat the UPS man a lot. Yeap, he is probably not my biggest fan, either.

Rebatch using charcoal to change color possible?

Yeap, and it will help it to not look like sausage, like mine did before (I think it was Carolyn) saved my poor soap scraps with that awesome gem.

Help with getting clean layered stripes...

Ultimately I am always happy that I made soap, and did not have to throw away the batch. Then I will start to nitpick from there. I am extremely hard on myself in one aspect, so that I learn something, but also I forgive myself, if that makes sense. I totally understand what you mean when...

What soapy mistake have you made today?

Yeap, did that once! Totally threw a wrench in that design plan! It became a poop brown soap loaf fragranced in an FO my fella had picked out. Least he got his soap. Haha.
  18. TwystedPryncess

Oosh, been soaping a lot lately

Your third one down, looks like a red leaf swirled out in the design. Soooo very cool! All of these are great! I would be proud to call them mine if I had made them. You rock!

What soapy thing have you done today?

It's a Frigidaire. Guess I better start putting dollars back!

Post you ugly soap pics here - Troubleshooting thread

Oh, I laughed too. I can see it myself. I did use individuals. And also I thought embedding them very lightly on the side to make sure the points are visible would help. Won't be using that mold for that again..... Hahhaha.
