    Advice on soap bags, please?

So, I learned about 'soap bags' and being the curious type of person, I had to go looking at them. My first impression is - ewwwwwwwwww, scratchy! lol I'm not fond of exfoliation, except for the bottoms of my feet or maybe a little sugar scrub now and again, but in general - just no. So...

    Rounded Edge Beveler

When I was younger (...so much younger than today...) my parents converted an old bookmobile into an RV for them and we 4 kids to stay in while we went to dog shows. (my parents showed Briards - very successfully, too!). It was a blast to stay in/play in! You'll have to share the photos of...

    Oily soap

@Rogue-Soaper - I was surprised to find that this was not scratchy in the least after @penelopjane's comment! I don't particularly like scratchy soap (except for the bottom of my feet...lol)

@penelopejane - gotcha! I'll stick with taking out the oils from my total oils, then (until I hear the official verdict! lol) @dixiedragon - Thanks!

    Oily soap

So, here's the soap after a couple of weeks cure. Not very Ombre, but it's soap. @penelopejane - Surprisingly, it's not scratchy at all, so I'm pleased about that. Not oily, either! Thanks, everyone, for the tips and the encouragement!

    BB

I had both my cart and my wish list disappear and I agree about getting shorted on the weight of butters - that happens to me. (at least from BB...)

    Zany's no slime castile

@Zany_in_CO - Thanks again for sharing this recipe. I made this as my first soap of the new year and just this evening tried it. I just couldn't wait any longer! lol It's so nice and creamy and lathers just fine and seems hard to me, even after only 6 weeks of cure. No slime, but my...

Questions about Lye and Goats Milk

If this question is about the lye, you certainly won't need more than one pound of lye for a 2 lb loaf. If you put your recipe into a soap calculator, it will give you exactly the amount of lye that you need for your oils. (just guessing at a generic recipe, but I would say about 5 oz of lye)...

    Lavender looks like mouse poo?

Oh yes, it's in my pile to be shredded and rebatched - if I can figure out how to get the danged lavender out! lol

    Lavender looks like mouse poo?

 Oh, you are all so funny! One of the first soaps I made I put lavender buds on the top (I'm sensitive to lavender, but the dried buds don't seem to affect me in any way). I ended up HATING it! It's the scratchiest, nastiest thing that I've ever tried to use! Ended up tossing it to...
