Wow, they are fantastic looking and enormous loaves of soap. How much does each one weigh?

    Some of my first soaps...

I would be happy to shate the revipe, but I dont think it eas very good lol. I wont be making it in that form again. The amount of charcoal I put in it ( too much I think!) actually made the soap grainy and pleasantly exfoliating for the face. I think ground up poppy seeds could be a bit sharp?

    Wet Soap Wednesday: Sideways Cylinder

You could try putting the cut out section back and taping up a seal on the joins. Then set it on its end so it settles into the shape? If the mould it really full it shouldnt distort the swirling too much.

    Some of my first soaps...

Hi Chris The charcoal one was designed for my tween daughter to use on her face. The yogurt is good to encourage cell turnover and tge tumeric is great for skin and scrubby too. My daughter thinks it smells funky, but my sister and Mum love it. Thanks for the warning on essential oils on...

    Wet Soap Wednesday: Sideways Cylinder

I am VERY impatient as well and new to soaping. My soap was CPOP (this probably effects set up time) and I left it in two or three days. I just kept trying it. In other moulds I unmould 24hrs later, if that. I tryed it at about 24hrs and it wouldn't budge. I just left it and on the third day it...

Thanks They were cut from a log done in PVC pipe. They are really smooth and hardened up quite quickly. That recipe is a keeper!

This is my very first batch of soap. It is HP Oat and Honey with Lavender EO. This one is CPOP Tumeric, Charcoal and Yogurt with Lemongrass EO. The Lemongrass didn't come through very strong and I used too much Tumeric so they smell funky. Nice and exfoliating though. These are just some...

They soap needs to be set nice and hard to come out easily. You just need to give the end a good whack on some concrete and that will jar it loose.

It is nasy and humid on the coast, it is only a dry heat inland past the mountains. I would say that aircon here is still a luxury. We have aircon, but I would get so sick without it. Our house still gets into the 30s with the aircon going on bad days I totally understand what you mean about 23...

Is that hot? Here on the East Coast of Australia we are in a nasty heat wave at the moment. 45 degrees Celsius (113 farenheit) forcast for Western Sydney tomorrow. Fun times! Maybe you need to take the opportunity to try HP

Ahh, they look round in the photo. I am still building my mould collection but am having trouble finding moulds for individual bars that are deep enough. I find most of the silicone moulds too shallow for my taste.
