1st Annual Design The Mold of Your Dreams Competition

Bar mold, with honeycomb pattern and bees or a skep (old fashioned hive). Bars need to be at least 4 ounces, preferably 4.5 to 5 ounce. A specialized honeycomb bar like this would be very popular with beekeepers at a minimum I believe. ETA realistic looking, not cartoonish. There's enough of...

Advice needed from experienced FO users in CP please!

Actually all florals do not misbehave. Best to just check reviews.

    Lard V no Lard

I could not disagree with you more. I love lard. I love tallow. I render my own and I get plenty for my efforts. They started making it from palm and vegetable oil because it was *cheaper*, not because it was better. I've also never had a piggy smell at all. Low heat dry rendering seems to...

    Lard V no Lard

Lard makes wonderful soap. I have never, ever had an issue with DOS in lard, unless it was 100% lard I'd suspect another oil before I suspected lard. As for 'carbon footprint' and raising animals, they are raised, and exist (that we raise them in deplorable conditions is a whole 'nother rant)...

    First bath soap, pink?

I've found the exact opposite. DB is light and ED is strong, at least in my experience. ED is my hand's down favorite scent.

    Shelf Life?

Patchouli ages, it doesn't go bad, it only improves.

    Pretty upset with Brambleberry

Tamera's Soaping Scents has Energique, an Energy dupe, that's spot on to the original, I think. As for BB, I don't even glance at them anymore, there are too many things about them that left a sour taste in my mouth, plus the shipping from west coast to east coast is slow and expensive.

    Oversharing?

That is a sweet story and is definitely not oversharing!

    Fragrance Oil Review Chart Link

DeeAnna, I messed up your form. I didn't understand it and now I do. Sorry! ETA I guess it's just not obvious where to put your cursor. I have no idea if my info I just posted 'worked' or not. ETA again - I do think the access needs to be limited to trusted members of SMF only - and I do...

    FO's

It's not that they aren't paying attention. PR counts, sadly, you're dealing with the outfall of a bad PR move.

Can I use yard clay in cp soap?

All of what you wrote are great things to consider, but this last - breaks my heart. Sorry for the divergence, back to clay in soap.....

Can I use yard clay in cp soap?

You don't have to list all the ingredients of the clay in the soap, rather, the clay has to be tested and approved for cosmetic use (you list kaolin clay on a label, not the mineral components of the clay). Unfortunately unless you have a big fat wallet that is cost prohibitive for a single...

    Lye safety .... again.

Vinegar is not an analgesic. I don't know what it is so important to continue to advocate for vinegar, it is absolutely unnecessary. Can we let that go please?

I'm with Susie on this one. I don't play dumb with them, I let them do it ;)

    Lye safety .... again.

Actually yes, it is true, dry lye granules will not do you any harm. As was also stated, it is hydroscopic, so it will immediately start to attract water and *then* it will become an issue. In any event, proper handling includes gloves until all lye/granules/solution is used or cleaned up...
