I have a small batch in the crock pot cooking as I type...I couldn't use the recipes posted on the blogs because I have no shortening or corn oil!! So I said what the heck...threw caution to the wind and came up with my own recipe, using just Castor, CO, and lard HP Method for this one -...

Just a thought here....it may be easier to do this HP - as soon as the soap is fully gelled and zapless start diluting while still warm and reasonably fluid? Hmmmm, I may give it a shot this evening. Hubby is working all evening, nothing else to do but soap :D

Mine are put on a shelf standing upright in the curing room with a fan turned on low keeping the air circulating for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks they're put into baseball card storage boxes with a small packet of silica gel and kept naked until it's time to wrap/label them.

That was my concern on them as well DeeAnna, they're beautiful to be certain, but I'm afraid many of them might just be too detailed to be good on soap!

Ooh love it! I have a Orange/Litsea combo on the curing shelf too...I adore the smell!

there was a co-op for T&S molds that started back in Oct/Nov - we finally hit the minimum to order end of November and everyone started receiving their molds last week :) There's a FB group for it, if you're interested, they're going to have a 2nd round here soon :) Look in the shopping...

I've resisted purchasing any from them....I have 5 now from the JET co-op buy, so I think I should really behave and NOT get any others.....for now ;) lol

Does anyone have the acrylic slab mold from Soap Making Resource? I keep looking at it and I even go so far as to get it in the shopping cart (several times) then back out at the last minute. I'd love to hear what others have to say about their acrylic molds before I take the leap on this...
