    Curing CP Soap

Using tap water isn't a good idea if you have hard water. Try distilled water and make sure your recipe is balanced with soft and hard oils.

How to keep my Pipettes clean?

:bunny:This is the procedure I follow also. Even tho they are called disposable I recycle to keep the land fill and the ocean being littered with plastic waste. Check out the Ocean Gyre in South Pacific and North Pacific. Plastic debris the size of the state of Texas! Every little bit helps.

Best Recipe for Acrylic Slab mold

Just as a follow up I used one of my standard recipes size adjusted for this mold and added SLC into the mix. 24 hours later and the soap came out nicely. Sorry I couldn't post a pic for you. Forgot the process for doing so.

    Floral Confusion

For me personally I love the spa type scents with an ozone or ocean top note. Clean different soothing combination of intreguing under notes. I tend to do sample bottles of 12 scents do testing and then decide. Have fun!

Looking for recommendations for large bath bomb batches and drying advice

I find the bubble wrap works so well for drying bath bombs. I have some large bubble wrap and some small for different bombs. Have fun! Show us some pics! We all love pics I think!

    Soaping Anxiety

At one time I too had lye anxiety, even after taking professional lessons. Everything close to the lye after being measured and incorporated into my liquids was wiped down with a paper towel wet with vinegar with me still in gloves. At one time I did use the static cling wipes before I poured...

Do you "hate" any oil in particular?

I don't use grapeseed oil as I think it causes DOS even at low percentages. This and it's short shelf life all add up to do not use this. Sunflower oil is so much better in soap.

May 2017 SMF Soap Challenge - fluid acrylic cell pour

These are so darling. I've never done mandp in this technique but I imagine it takes a certain temperature to pour and to avoid the colors combining. Is that right? Ok you talked me into it! I'll give this a go as I just love the videos and the beautiful artistic soaps. Can I be number 11...

Best Recipe for Acrylic Slab mold

I just received my acrylic slab mold and it looks very well made. My problem is that I didn't receive the recipe to use with this mold. I want to avoid any unmolding problems I've read about. The mold was to be shipped with a recipe. Any idea where I can find it? I make cold processed...

    Selling Soap Making Supplies

SLSA at a reasonable price would be nice to carry. With the popularity of bath bombs etc the price is all over the place when checking suppliers. Like one of the other posters I do not trust 3ebay or fb sales.

    Goat Milk Lotion Tutorial

This sounds like a nice recipe and I've been contemplating the making of it. Do you have recommendations for a soft oil? Would it be appropriate to say use a combination of 2 or 3 soft oils to make the total for the recipe?

    Shampoo Bar - Thanks Lindy!!

Shampoo Bars and sugar amount Such a lovely recipe thank you Jenny! I'm wondering if the 1TBS of sugar is per pound of oils or for the entire batch. To answer my own question from further reading. Make that 2 tsp ppo. Thanks everyone.

Need a recipe for these ingredients please

I would leave out sugar from this batch as you are using beer. You've cut the super fat down so that reduces the need for sugar which imo would compromise this batch. Ground oats in batch a few solid oats sprinkled on top would feel good and look nice. Using dark or light beer?

Need a recipe for these ingredients please

I think a tbs of fine ground oats per pound of the oils you are using would be a good place to start. I add this at light trace. You don't want the lye water to cook your oats.
