I made my first beer soap three days ago and it still smells of that awful beer just not as much. I've been told from others the smell will go away but it's intermingled with the fo......it smell so bad. I used a dark stout a friend got for me (not Guinness which I wanted) called Nitro by Left...

When using TD I always make a slurry (mines water soluble) and then I mix it again with my mini blender just before adding it because it can still clump. Also I use a small sieve when putting it into my batter....it seems to help with clumping

I wouldn't use anything for exfoliating except maybe colloidal oatmeal as an elderly persons skin is like paper. I've seen it tear just by someone touching it. IMO I would make a nice baby soap for them with a little coconut oil, butters and lots of olive oil
