I have a huge stainless steel bowl that I wash all my soaping stuff in. Sometimes I leave it overnight to soak and sometimes I'll wash them right after I'm done soaping
Made my last Christmas soap and now trying to figure out color combos for Amy Warden's next soap challenge. So many colors to work with its a little overwhelming!
Sarah Milroy from Spicy Pinecone has a great video on making Allepo soap and provides a link to BeSented out of Washington State that sell Laurel berries oil between $25.95-49.95
I planned on making a white soap with black swirls when I came to almost finishing and realizing I had forgotten to put my fo in. In my haste I poured it all back into the bowl and added the fo stirring it to incorporate. Now I have a lovely gray soap that looks like cement
I only use 20% coconut oil as it can strip the oils from your skin and I always use some kind of butter like Shea or cocoa. Castor I use between 3-5%. I also use sodium lactate to help harden the bars. Hope this helps! And your soap looks awesome!
I've made that soap from Soaping 101 but I just don't remember those ingredients. It was so long ago maybe I just made my own up because I've never used salt or citric acid in soaps
While I've never used white mica alone I do add it to my titanium dioxide if I want it to sparkle. I use the Super Sparkle (I think that's the name) from Nuture and just bought Here Comes the Bride from Mad Oils but haven't tried it yet
I absolutely love mango and kokum butters. WSP has all kinds of butters where you can buy a 2 oz size at a reasonable price. I just bought some cranberry butter that I want to try. Avocado butter is good
