yeah I did thought of citrus... thought of orange/patchouli but people got a love or hate relationship for patchouli lol and another was orange/cinnamon/clove but it seem too much of a fall specific scent
Hey
I'm trying to figure out a good set of 6 soaps of different scents to try to cover every scent category possible so I can see what selling or not. I want to do 3 FOs and 3 EOs and I was wondering if you can drop some advice if it a good set of scents or replace something with more popular...
Thanks :)... current stock so far
Charcoal, orange peel powder (don't like the smell lol), plain, French pink clay and bottom shelf have the seamoss with different amount of indigo powder... Also another soap with a FO called black salt & cypress but it not in the picture
Update: Made another seamoss soap with doubling up the indigo powder at 1/4 tsp or 1g for 410g oils/fats
The first picture isn't great... but in person it show more of blue-Greyish ..at least it a step in the right direction to represent the sea
Yeah I expected to turn green... was hoping it was enough blue to turn it more blue-greenish ... gonna try double it up to 1/4 tsp and see how that turn out
I made French pink clay soap some days ago and seamoss soap with indigo powder last night and just cut it a few hours ago but I was aiming for some shade of blue for the seamoss to represent water or sea lol. The ones at the back are unscented and no colorants
I put the indigo in the lye...
Yup...Already wrote the date and bars' weights... do a weekly check-ins
Made a couple more soaps... French pink clay and seamoss with indigo powder to mimic the sea blue colour but unfortunately didn't work out or didn't put enough in
Will post pictures... not home at the moment
Thanks
Yeah that was my intention ... I want to make sensitive/skim benefits soaps .. no scents and no chemical colourants
Haha nice! I will cut one of the bars into smaller size next time
Thanks
Lol I wonder everybody here sacrificed a bar to test try from their first batch
Now I gotta figure out how much of each additive to my base recipe like charcoal, oatmeal, orange peel powder etc
Now the hard part is the waiting time of at least 4 weeks lol
Thank you :) ..Made it around 9-10pm last night and cut it around 1pm today
Hmm not sure yet .. on my list French green clay, French pink clay, orange peel powder, ground coffee, oatmeal,
Made my first soap last night and just recently cut the block into 4
This is just base recipe, unscented and no colorants. Just want to see how it work out
Look good so far lol... will see in 4 weeks
