    What inspired your business name?

I chose two family names (Grey Mills). So many "soapy" biz names are already taken, and I wanted something unique anyway.

    COG- All the little things

Ok, guys. I have a pretty good grasp of what my per bar cost is, but I am still a little stumped about how you cost the little "I'm not really going to measure that..." kind of items. You know, like micas, dyes, tussah silk, disposable tools, etc that you use often but maybe don't use the same...

    Separation or glycerin...lake?

It looks like partial gel to me too. Normally, I avoid it, but I like how yours is somewhat translucent and a bit patterned.

Do these look like glycerin rivers?

What did I do to my soap?

Yup, it looks like ash to me too. And, maybe just a slight bit of overheating.

Nice goat milk soap getting better. Cure time?

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but I live in an area with really high humidity & temps. Although I have air conditioning, there's been several instances where my soaps have sweat- I'm not sure if that is a factor or not. But, I recently got shrink wrap, so maybe that will help in the future.

    CP soap bed

I CPOP all of my soaps, unless I don't want gel. I let the oven sit at 170 F while I'm soaping and put the mold in the oven after I'm finished pouring. After 2-5 mins, I turn the oven off and light on. I leave it there overnight. I always get gel and rarely have overheating unless I've added...

Nice goat milk soap getting better. Cure time?

I believe all soaps improve with time, but some improve more than others. But, I don't think this is indefinite- I think once a soap hits a maximum cure time, it just maintains it's current properties and may then eventually begin to decline in quality (DOS & rancidity issues). This is all just...

    Clear waterproof labels

Onlinelabels.com sells them. I highly recommend them.

    Business Planning for 2020

I'm so sorry, Shunt & Primrose. That must be very difficult to process :(

    Business Planning for 2020

Yes, that's something I forgot on my list. We have a CPA, & he said he would meet with me once I have a dedicated bank account & know what forms of payment I'll accept. As for a VA, maybe check into an informal intern situation? I think there would be some high school or college kids that...

    Good luck & have fun!

    Shampoo Bars/Conditioner bars

I support at the $10/mo level. I've noticed over that past year or two, Susan is removing recipes from her blog and including them in ezines . There is still a ton on her blog, but there are recipes I've used before that are not there anymore. But, the $10/mo will get you any ezines released...

    Wix vs GoDaddy

Lol! No, everytime I say it, I kinda chuckle. I don't understand the name either, but....:smallshrug:

    Wix vs GoDaddy

I guess I should mention that I already bought/reserved my domain name, so I'm good in that regard. :)

    Coconut Bubbly Shower Bar?

Have you tried a 100% coconut oil bar with high superfat? Even with the high superfat, I find them very bubbly and cleansing. Otherwise, I think your recipe above looks fine- give it a try and see if you like it! Even with my oily skin, 30% is about as much coconut oil as I can tolerate. You...
