What to do with Dragon's Blood resin?

That's a shame because it's because of everyone's love of the smell that it caught my eye to begin with. I have seen reviews that said it doesn't smell like the FO, but does have a sweet scent which I was fine with. I envisioned a loaf with black and red (planned on added red oxide) with some...

    Titanium Dioxide - interesting find...

Yeah, I didn't even realize my TD was made for water until I happened to get a good look at the label. Explained why my oil mixtures were so difficult to work with.

What to do with Dragon's Blood resin?

So I've been hearing about Dragon's Blood FO and was planning on trying it until I heard that it is actually a resin...well the herbalist in me started researching it and I want to try it. So I ordered an ounce of the resin and I have several questions: How do I infuse it in OO, powder it or in...

    Master batching oils

I'm not sure what your saying here...I wasn't planning on putting any lye in the jars, just using the jars to heat up the oils...knowing this can I still use my mason jars?

hello, I'm new and this is my first batch

I have never tried them...met a soaper that sells at a local farmers market and her CP smelled orange and I asked her about it. Who knows? Maybe it was a good MP that she made to look like CP...I'm not absolutely sure I could tell the difference.

    Master batching oils

That's what I was concerned about...I didn't want to haul out a huge jug to warm up the oils each time...but I didn't think of separating the oils into batches...I could put them in a wide mouth quart canning jar...I got a ton of those! Thanks for all the info!

    Browsing soap pics

Ya know, I can absolutely appreciate the beauty and artistry of soaps that look like food, the cake soaps and cupcake soaps are gorgeous...but I just gotta think...do I really want food in my bathroom...it's just too weird for me..

    Master batching oils

I guess I should have asked a more specific question...my fault sorry... If I make this master batch with CO and OO, will the CO solidify and will I have to warm up the entire bottle each time I go to use it? Will the oils combine and stay that way?

    Ingredients for Sensitive Skin

Well since a CP will take a couple of months to cure, you might want to start out with a simple glycerin soap with some added calendula glycerite and possibly a small amount of rosehip glycerite (too much will cause burning). Then you can make up some CP (I'll leave suggestions for that recipe...

    Master batching oils

Can you master batch with CO mixed with OO?
  13. rparrny

hello, I'm new and this is my first batch

There are companies that sell a 5x and 10x citrus that seems to do well in CP with a stabilizer.

    Lye has arrived

Why is that? I have been using 30% with OO and Shea with no problems, and I have sensitive skin...if changing it will give me a better bar I'm all for it...

I hope so, it really saddens me to know that my kids have no interest in learning how to can, pickle or make soap...my daughter has taken an interest in learning herbalism since becoming a mom (the reason I started to learn as well, young kids, no money for a hundred buck visit to the doc...the...
