Mad Oils vs Bramble Berry Colorant Quality?

Exactly how I feel...I love browsing sites that are pleasing to look at and offer that little extra something...especially how to videos. In the end however, customer service gets my attention the most. I have given companies with products that I was unhappy with a second and sometimes third...

    Laundry soap questions

Possibly the same...after you leave the liquid in a 5 gallon bucket it gels...that's what it's supposed to do, I can't reach it all with my SB so I whisk it to combine, then dilute it 1:1 then transfer into smaller containers. I shake the container a bit before using but really have no issues...

    Dealing with dishonesty

I've been waiting since the 12th for my new loaf cutter/planer/beveler I ordered from Ebay to arrive and I found out it came to my post office today so I went and picked it up (my mail girl is a nightmare). When I got there Ed handed me an Amazon Prime box. I told him that wasn't the box and...

    Laundry soap questions

I use a homemade liquid but I would think the EO would get lost in saponification...I would put my EOs in my washing soda and then combine.

Do people still do "traveling salesman" thing - town to town?

That may be one way to go although shop owners usually know their customers...in this particular case the oogler was my best friend who probably would have bought this particular bracelet from her out on the side walk if the owner would have said no...I shop vicariously through her and save a...

    Kokum butter koo koo

So I decided to give kokum butter a try and ordered 5 pounds. I find that it takes forever to melt in my warmed oils. Is this butter sensitive like shea or can I get more aggressive with the melting...it's driving me nuts.

    In the mean time..

Run my numbers of my next idea through soap calc and play with it...watch soap videos on you tube while lovingly caressing my slab mold which is next to me so I can constantly gaze at it and smell the fragrance.. Just kidding... Okay it's a little true... Okay! Okay! it's completely true!

Do people still do "traveling salesman" thing - town to town?

I don't sell, but I live in the area of the Hamptons on Long Island so I frequent those cute little touristy shops a lot. I have seen vendors come in off the street with product displayed in their hands and asked to speak with the shop owner...now often there are customers in the shop and they...

Mad Oils vs Bramble Berry Colorant Quality?

Not at all, but it did make me realize that my comments may have given the impression that I thought the half naked guys on the homepage were a plus to the site. I was really pleased that she added the basic piping kit as I had suggested. I also like the no nonsense shipping...nothing pisses me...

Mad Oils vs Bramble Berry Colorant Quality?

I agree...I was responding to Carrie's question about why MO shoppers consider their colors more adult when they use the same colors from the same supplier. My observation was that the site layout was "adult" in nature with the half naked guys and that might be where the perception lies. That...

Post you ugly soap pics here - Troubleshooting thread

Went to do a wall pour in my slab mold but it traced way too fast and screwed up every thing. I did use castor oil at 15% along with shea and kokum butter, but my last batch with this combo did well. Wondering if it was the EOs...lavender/cedarwood and a touch of ylang ylang. I'll see how it...

    Does brewed coffee 'do' anything?

Thank you but not even close to what I was hoping for. Made a second batch today with more coffee and some black cocoa to darken it up. It looks black but it's really dark brown. Hope this one looks more like the manufacturers pic...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Made the coffee soap...some very weird things happened but in the end I think it will be okay. I split my lye and oils in half and used the Vanilla FO in just the brown half which I added a tsp of black cocoa...I used this cocoa mostly because it doesn't clump. When I got ready to add my coffee...

Mad Oils vs Bramble Berry Colorant Quality?

Carrie, I just placed my order...took me so long because of course I wanted everything...I see that you now offer a basic piping set for me to play with, which is what I asked for...I love a company that listens to their customers...of course it was added to my cart...thank you for listening...

    Does brewed coffee 'do' anything?

I have only just made my first bars recently so I can't speak for results (I my bars ended up looking like puffed wheat not coffee... I posed the same questions and the general opinion was that it was for label appeal only and didn't seem to do anything...even those that added additional...
