What soapy mistake have you made today?

Cut the rest of the bar and it got prettier as I got further into the loaf. Here's the other end piece...

What soapy mistake have you made today?

The top of the loaf looks like my grandson did it, but I couldn't take the suspense anymore and unmolded and cut it...it doesn't suck...

What soapy mistake have you made today?

Okay, here's my loaf after an hour of CPOP at 180...I'm hoping once slices it doesn't look so horrible...how soon can I unmold and cut with CPOP? BTW, that's clear glitter you see not unmixed dye...

What soapy mistake have you made today?

Made a loaf for my niece who loves sunflowers...used all the colors of a sunflower in a white base...Vibrance Green, Vibrance Yellow, Maya Gold, TD black and used the new BC sunflower FO. The FO accelerated really fast so it was more of a spooning than a pouring...I CPOPed this loaf for the...

SMF Soap Making Challenge October: Hidden Feather Swirl

My first attempt was a disaster... I saw my base grey was too dark and I was out of premixed TD white so like an ***** I just put some powder in and used my SB. Even lighter, I think the grey was too dark and didn't show the colors like they should have. Gigi...are you watching? This one is...

    Fo problem

So far I've only had one ricing disaster...the batter that had already hit the mold before I recognized it separated but the rest I reblended with my SB before pouring and it was fine.

    Nurture Soap package

Got my Nuture order yesterday...can't wait to try my yellow vibrance mica...got the whole vibrance sample set, a sample of the black glitter mica and the clear glitter. Of course I can't wait to play with my new piping set. Carrie threw in a few sample micas as well...

Things to do in New York!

Two things you have to eat in NY...pizza and bagels...lots of places to get them, some better than others but ALL better than anywhere outside of NY. My vote for a broadway show is Wicked! It may actually be off broadway now and much cheaper for tickets. Any of the Disney shows...Lion King...

    bath bomb crisis

Too many ingredients IMHO. Baking soda and Citric acid 2:1 is all you need and ditch the water...causes nothing but trouble. I use witch hazel in a spray bottle until it looks like damp sand and will hold together when I grab a fistful. There are colors that are made specifically for bath...

    Browsing soap pics

Just thinking out loud here...but I'm imagining a wire any width you want;...each end wrapped around wood so I could hold it taught...then having two pieces of wood at either end of my slab as a guide for my wire...I hold the wire taught...using the wood planks on the edges of my slab of soap as...

    First market success!

Congrads! Your display is very professional...I love your labels...very minimalist and clean in keeping with why people choose handmade soaps and the brown wrapping around white cigar bands looks sharp. I love all the natural baskets, wood, grass mats and burlap...but I would ditch the white...
