So the FO I want to use says ‘ the maximum ratio that can be used in cosmetic products is 0.83%’ My total amount of oils is 963 gr. I don’t use oz, I do everything by gr. 0.83% of 963 gr = 7.9 gr Am I right in thinking then in 963 gr of oils I can only use 7.9 gr of the FO? thank you x

Yep but I mixed at a lower temperature lye was 99f and oils were 106f so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it?x I did some private work so I thought, dam it I am going to spend the money on a soap cutter x

So if I go back to one of the first comments about amount of water used - are you saying the more water you use the easier it is to gel your soap. When using soap calc or the forum calc the water ratio starts at 38% I have been changing it to 30 or 33%. Am I better off leaving it at 38% if I...
