    I've never heard of soap causing your skin to shrivel. The best way to make sure that your soap has the right amount of lye is to use a lye calc.     Need help with my camel's milk soap

    Everytime I make camel's milk soap it seems to be very drying to my skin. I use the same oils for my other soaps and those soaps are just fine. What can I do to make the camel's milk soap more moisturizing? I use olive, coconut, palm and soy. These oils work well with my other soaps.

    Lye question

    LYE QUESTION

    That's strange. I have used water first then vinegar and it did stop the burning and it stopped the irritation when I touch raw soap. But plan water first is the key.
