    Soap for teeth

Thank you. That's good to know. How much calcium carbonate would you add? 1 teasp. ppo? More?

Could you just add some calcium carbonate?

    cosmic wave video

Yes, let's see pictures of the cut soaps! You have used a lovely shade of red. What did you use and where did you get it? Thank you for a very informative video.

    Mold liner

I bought a pet-feeding mat in the pound store and used that. It is made of strong plastic and can be washed easily and re-used. Make sure you are using the non-painted side.

    Lily stamens

From what I saw in Google, lilies are poisonous when ingested. Do you think it matters when they are used to colour soap? I had a look at plants which are irritant to the skin and I have not found anything about lilies in that category.

    Lily stamens

I am infusing some lily stamens in olive oil with the intention of using it to colour soap. Has anyone ever done that? What colour came out and did it fade? Regardless of the answers, I will try it and keep you posted on the results, if you want.

Emulsified Sugar Scrub - where to start?

I agree with you about the recipe. It's very good. I tried it with black cocoa butter and my towel was full of dark brown stains afterwards. The only way it can be used is if you wash with soap afterwards. I will try it again but with "normal" cocoa butter instead.

    M&P embeds in CP soap

I have tried putting M&P embeds on the top of the soap and then put the soap in the oven (CPOP). It was fine. The embeds did not melt.

April SMF Soap Challenge, Hanger Swirl Petra Style

Thank you all for your kind words. Maybe I'll enter the competition next time and be less critical. As for the second soap, I did the same hanger movements as in the first one. Nothing special really. I don't know why it looks so different - probably a thicker trace.

April SMF Soap Challenge, Hanger Swirl Petra Style

I would be interested but bear in mind that we, in the UK, have to pay import duties as well - plus £8 for the Royal Mail to open the parcel! Unless the parcel is marked as a gift of course.

April SMF Soap Challenge, Hanger Swirl Petra Style

I wasn't going to participate in this month's challenge because I have more soaps that I can cope with but then, I decided to have a go... I was going to put my name down but I had two goes and they are both failures so I thought I'd better stop. I attach pictures of my failures: The...

    Looking for fellow UK soapers

I live in the UK too, in Surrey (Greater London). You can find a lot of Brambleberry moulds in Holland at : http://www.youwish.nl/ The postage is not cheap but at least you don't have to pay any import duties!

    Roe

I live in the UK and it seems impossible to find ROE. What they sell here is called rosemary seed extract (antioxidant). INCI: Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Rosemarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract. Is this the same stuff as ROE? Can it be used in soaps?

    How to achieve certain opacity/finish

The M&P decorations stayed the same and kept their shape so I suppose that next time I can CPOP with them on! Although the heat from the saponification might be higher than this one. The only way to know is to try...

    How to achieve certain opacity/finish

Oh DeeAnna! What a mine of information you are and what would I do without you? I had a soap that fitted your description - powdery and crumbly. I reckon that it had not gelled properly. I normally CPOP all my soaps but this one was different. I had made some buttons out of M&P and used...
